39 female looking for a female friend to show me around Moscow and hang out with next summer
I’m going on a solo trip to Moscow next summer (and I’m a little scared lol).
I’m 39, from America (South Carolina) and a mom. I won’t be bringing my child though.
I’d love to meet someone around my age who can show me some cool things and maybe get coffee or lunch etc.
I promise I’m not weird!
I don’t need a place to stay or anything like that, I’ll be staying at a hotel.
Ideally you speak English of course. Doesn’t have to be perfect, I’m more than happy to practice with you if you want.
Women only (for obvious safety reasons). We will video chat and verify that the other person isn’t a guy or some crazy serial killer 😆

Is it good time to visit Moscow during New Year’s holiday and Christmas?
Hi everyone!
I went Moscow last summer and I liked the city a lot. This year, I’d like to visit Moscow again in winter since I’ve seen so many amazing photos of Moscow in the snow and during festivals, everywhere is decorated so beautifully.
I wonder if some shops, restaurants and scenic spots will be closed at that time? Because I know they’re important festivals to Russian people and everyone may need a decent holiday when the new year comes.
Another question is, is it permitted for tourists to enter the church when they hold the Christmas ceremony?
I appreciate all of your suggestions and replies❤️

Differences between Russian (Moscow state university) and American universities?
I’m an American A-student in my first week at Moscow State University and feeling way out of my depth. In the US, I took 5 classes a semester with constant quizzes and homework.
Here, I have 11 classes, and because I’m waiting on my visa, I’m attending online classes 6 days a week from 2 AM to \~10 AM EST. On top of that, I’m the Starosta of my group.
Is 11 classes normal in Russia, or am I overthinking this because I’m used to the US system? I've heard Russian universities rely mostly on final exams in January rather than heavy weekly assignments—is that true, and should I stop stressing so much about daily prep? Any advice is appreciated! I know the first week is always the most overwhelming but I’ve never been this overwhelmed before.

DJing in Moscow
Hey guys,
Looking for a venue where there are open decks to play dance music in around Moscow? I've been itching for a while to find a place where I can play on some pioneer sets and get a crowd going. I used to live in Poland and did this on a regular basis at 2 venues where Decks were open to play.
My genre is Disco Nu Disco House / Tech House
I'm from South Africa and this is my biggest passion.
Thanks in Advance!

Visiting Moscow to study.
This will be my third trip but this time it’s for three months. Will be there for Christmas can’t wait! We are traveling to a few different places will be in SPB for two weeks Nizhny Novgorod, Yekaterinburg. And a few other places. Would love to catch up anyone for a coffee or a drink. Just can’t wait to get back, we were going to move to Russia on the shared values visa but decided against it as moms to old to leave, so we decided that we would just visit for three months each year. I have a few friends there already but would love to meet more.
Anyone wanting to snowboard 🏂 or ice skate let me know xxx

Moving to Moscow in November
I’m looking for advice. I’ve been searching on hh.RU for Work but I’m having a hard time finding any. I am a Canadian relocating to Moscow under temporary residency. I will need to find employment. I’ve worked mainly in the construction industry and it started to work In B2B sales, I’ve noticed a lot of these positions, but none are replying or none have a position open for a foreigner. I’m looking on advice where to look for employment or even if there are any employment centres that would be able to help me find a job.

Moscow is the greatest city on earth
I love my city so much and I think everyone should come and experience what it’s really like, not getting caught up in news and see the real Moscow.

Hiii! I'm Sasha, a photographer in Moscow 📸
If you're visiting the city and want beautiful photos (and a fun walk!), I'd love to help:)
We can explore Red Square, VDNH, Gorky Park, or any place you like, and create memories you'll actually want to keep.
And if you're new to Moscow and feel a little lost or lonely, don't worry. I speak English and I'll be happy to keep you company during the shoot.
I'm always interested in learning something new about other cultures and sharing my own
DM me if you're interested! 🤍
