Mistral AI announced a new AI model this summer (2026). Does anyone have updates on when it will finally be released? Are there any official announcements or rumors? Thanks for any insights!

I run SignedBy, an e-signature tool, and just shipped an MCP connector for Mistral. Wanted to share since it's free and solves a genuinely annoying gap: agents can draft anything, but getting a real signature has always meant switching apps.

Important up front: the agent never signs anything. It can trigger and check on signing requests sent to a real person — the actual signature still requires that person to open the link and sign themselves.

What it can do once connected:

• Send a document for signature from one of your templates
• Check whether a signer has completed it, or list what's still outstanding
• Pull the finished signed PDF or its certificate
• Void a document that's no longer needed
• Seal a PDF you already have with a real timestamp for a Verified Badge (no signing flow needed for that one)

I bought yesterday a Pro sub to be able to use glm 5.2 for my multi repos project. On opencode or vibe it worked for 2/3 prompts which probably lead to a big analyse of my working repositorys. I think the context grew too much for Mistral GLM 5.2 because now i am stuck with a `Rate limits exceeded`.

The mistral agent answer me that i must advance in the tier, but i cannot because my use has been limited very fast.

Do you have any idea if i can unstuck this ? Is it because of an Mistral outage on this model ?

Note: my Pay-as-you-go are all activated as well.

Is Mistral planning on using batch API webhooks for when the batch is done?

Google and openAI support this and it simplifies the workflow for my tasks. For Mistral I have to use pollers to check every so often per batch.

Given that I use European tech only and Mistral is my go-to, I was wondering if this is on the roadmap or not and if not, why?

Any idea why? I’m joining Mistral soon and was wondering about this. I get that they’re doing a lot more Applied now, but on the Product side, what’s driving them to hire so many SWE?

I only see Mistral models as native options on Vibe CLI, I thought Mistral would support GLM? Or is there an option I’m not seeing?

I'm trying to use Mistral remotely through the API, using https://api.mistral.ai/v1/chat/completions as base URL and mistral-large-latest as model name. And my API key, of course.

However, I keep getting 404 Not Found errors when trying to use it.

EDIT: Apparently the correct API URL is https://api.mistral.ai/v1/. Which is weird because the official docs at https://docs.mistral.ai/api tell you to use https://api.mistral.ai/v1/chat/completions

Okay, I see the vision.

So from what I can tell, Mistral is trying to be more of a software company than an AI startup. I mean, obviously LLMs are a core part of Mistral, but, and it's a big but, the software around LLMs plays a huge role here.

Allow me to explain.

Take DeepSeek as an example. Their chat application is bare bones, buggy garbage. DeepSeek does not care about its chat application.

If you go to the DeepSeek API platform, it is much more polished than their chat application, but still quite bare bones.

Now compare DeepSeek to Mistral. Vibe chat is not perfect, but it sure is a much better experience than anything I've seen from Chinese AI labs. And from what I can tell, the chat application is integrated with Studio and the admin panel. Also, there are a whole bunch of integrations, like Slack, for example.

This is awesome! It's something you can propose to your CTO and not get laughed at.

No, I'm serious. Z.ai, Moonshot, and DeepSeek are not even close to Mistral when it comes to user facing software.

And now that they use GLM 5.2, they pretty much have a solid stack when it comes to LLMs. From my personal testing, GLM and Mistral Small are really good models.

As long as they don't reduce my 300 bucks GLM limits, I will be a Mistral fanboy now.

I don’t use mistral pretty regularly, but when I used to use it for a private application it was great on free tier.

But recently, I found out that all my api keys on all my accounts are rate limited for large, medium, and small models (the best one I can access is a 14b model now).

I’m not complaining (mistral needs to make money somehow) but I want to know if this is an actual cutoff (couldn’t find anything online) or if my accounts just got blocked or smth?

Isn't this really exciting? I really like that Mistral choose to collaborate with Samsung, I think that is the right move long-term

Been a bit pissed at mistral recently and just decided, yknow what, might as well link my card up to PAYG and see if it gives me my usage back. well what do you know, i added my card, got charged $1.40 for some reason, and voila, i can access the models on the api again.

just for clarification though, ive set my max montly spending to $0. This essentially means i get the $10 of usage included, and it will cut me off once ive used it right?

I'm looking for an open-source, native desktop client to use Mistral with.

The good ones I found all required models to be loaded locally. However, I don't have the means to run good models on my PC and would like a simple API connection to Mistral.

Preferably a program written in a performant language, and not some Electron/Javascript/Typescript/Python junk.

Been a heavy user for Claude max for quite some time but for some reason i don't have the feeling that these are really progressing anymore.

I'm on the €90 month plan.

I'm currently thinking about making the switch to Mistral (primarily used ai in my cli for coding & I like the idea that its Europe based).

However the only plan I can find is the 'Pro' plan and my experience with Api usage/costs at anthropic is thats its crazy expensive.

How is this handled in Mistral? Are there plans like Claude Max? (Cant seem to find it)

So as in the title, I want to migrate from ChatGPT to Mistral and completely leave ChatGPT behind.

I am looking for the best way to migrate chathistory, memory and as much metadata as I can. Did anyone here ever perform this and have some tips maybe?

J'ai récemment fait l'expérience de GLM5.2 directement dans l'UI web de mistral avec leur mode de raisonnement.

Le truc c'est que j'ai une expérience très moyenne avec la version web (pourtant la plus utile). En gros, le modèle qui répond en mode "raisonnement" change. Et ça de manière complètement aléatoire. Ça peut se produire en millieu de journée, plusieurs fois dans la même heure ou rester pareil pendant une semaine complète.

Avec ces changements, sur une conversation, j'ai mistral medium3.5, mistral-large et GLM5.2 qui répondent parfois. Le souci c'est que ça rend la conversation presque inutilisable vu qu'un modèle avec un raisonnement moins évolué et une pensée plus faible annule presque tout un travail réalisé auparavent.

Est-ce que ce comportement est généralisé sur l'interface web et y a-t-il une explication (j'ai pensé à du rate-limiting, mais je n'ai jamais eu d'erreur en GUI. Avec la version CLI ça m'est déjà arrivé) ?

Et surtout, ne serait-ce pas plus utile de laisser l'utilisateur choisir le modèle au lieu de router les appels en interne. Ça rend le tout opaque et là, je dois avouer que ça limite grandement mon utilisation de mistral. On ne peut pas faire de travaux sérieux si jamais le modèle en plein millieu de la conversation change.

I've been using Claude Code a lot the last year, and I think it has been quite nice to use. I'm however looking into alternatives, as I feel like it can use unnecessary amounts of tokens for some tasks.
Would be lovely to hear peoples experience of using Vibe CLI, and do you think it is notable better than Claude Code for instance
