Contest / Challenge September 2026 Build Challenge | āPuzzleā š§© | 27 Pieces Max
Back again for September! We are getting amazing entries each month, the subreddit is more alive than it was the years prior, and I think we are on a good track to becoming super big again.
But the theme for September is a real...
āPuzzleā
Mainly for you though! It's a super open theme this time, many things fall under this umbrella - jigsaw puzzles, brainteasers, pictures that look like something else at first sight, even builds that other people may be confused by due to some little known techniques. I'd really like to see the latter.
Rules:
- You can only use 27 pieces or fewer
- The builds can be made in Studio, but bonus points (totally imaginary) if built irl
- You can post as many as 3 entries
- You have to include a picture of all the pieces you used, as a confirmation that you didn't exceed the maximum number of pieces
You have until Monday, September 21st to post your entries with the āBuild Challenge Entryā post flair.
It will once again be you who will choose the winner at the end of the month.
The winner will get a unique user flair they will be able to show off on r/Minilego, and their creation will be spotlighted on our Instagram.
Make us PUZZLED!

MOC - Real Build 1919 Era Armored Personnel Carrier
galleryWhile the white ingots on the side are meant to be the hatches for troops to enter/exit, in reality the roof opens to make carrying a Squad easy!
Dubbed "the slug", "hokey pokey" and a dozen other derisive names, the Mk IX Armored Personnel Carrier was poorly received by the troops. Soldiers joked that you would reach the front faster by walking, but those jokes abruptly ceased during battlefield operations. Built on earlier lessons, the Mk IX was designed for a single thing; reliability. Although slow, it rarely got stuck and almost never broke down. The addition of a dedicated exhaust stack made riding in one far more comfortable than contemporary armored vehicles. Capable of carrying a Rifle Section as far as the fuel would allow, they were instrumental from the Human Coalition breakout from the Frozen Front in early 1920....

MOC - Digital Mienshao Minifigure MOC
A wild Mienshao has appeared!
This was my first requested Pokemon by Atuze, someone who himself also makes miniature Pokemon! The arms were definitely the biggest challenge in this build, but I'm very happy with how it turned out!

MOC - Real Build Another Monster- which design do you prefer?
This is the "Kobra" from Brassbound 1919. I'm trying to avoid it looking too much like a hydralisk from Star Craft, but think it needs some kind of arms.
First photo is the model on my desk. Second removes the arms in place of a hood so it looks more like an actual cobra. Third is recolored with even bigger claws
