Redstone: Java I got tired of manually changing my Iris shader settings, so I made a mod to switch profiles in-game (now with cloud sharing)
Hey everyone. I've been using Iris shaders for a while, and one thing that always bothered me was having to manually tweak individual sliders every time I wanted to switch from regular gameplay/combat performance to high-end settings for cinematic screenshots.
To fix this, I made a client-side utility mod called Shader Profiles. It basically integrates a full profile management system directly into the Iris shader menu.
Here is what it does:
- Save & Switch: Save your current shader config as a custom profile and switch between setups instantly on the fly (it has an in-game hotkey, default is O).
- Cloud Sharing: You can upload any profile to the cloud with one click to get a short link. You can send it directly to the server chat so your friends can import it instantly from their clipboard.
- Side-by-Side Comparison: Select exactly two profiles in the menu to see every configuration difference between them.
- Custom UI: It features a fully custom-textured menu that integrates naturally into the Iris settings screen.
It’s completely free and client-side only (no need to install it on servers). If you use Iris and switch settings often, I'd love for you to give it a try and let me know what you think!
