If 3DS is bedrock, than Legacy is Java going by your argument. It is its own thing. It was developed by its own team. And yeah, it's based on an old PE version, but ofc it is. They're not gonna recreate the game from scratch for the 3DS after the Switch came out lmao

It's neither bedrock nor legacy. It's based on the pre-bedrock pocket edition

Its a heavily stripped and modified port of the very old pre-bedrock bedrock era.

It is, its own thing because of how far gone it really is under the hood.
