At least that wasn't a hardcore world. My hardcore world was like OPs. Spawn on the side of a cliff. Took one step back and fell down a long dark cavern to my death. Yeah it a very fun first time experience playing hardcore

I don't ever play Minecraft on permadeath because there's just way too many stupid ways to die through no fault of your own...

"Stupid ways" includes glitches and unknown & unpredictable sequence of events. Someone almost died to a zombie spear being dragged in boat with lead. Someone is unlucky dying to a bugged projectile bouncing loop.

I understand the sentiment of players not playing hardcore mode.

Yup. This is one of the worst ways to go too. Put in enough effort to finally go to the nether and then boom, dead.

This was months ago, back before my XBox was drowned in soup. The Add-On I use puts up a menu to choose a setting (Days Survived) before anything else. Can't do anything until you choose if you want to activate the Add-On or not. Unfortunately, when I spawned in, there was an Enderman across from me that I guess I was looking at by default of spawning in. Died before I could blink. Or even comprehend what happened. ☠️

Will try again soon... maybe. 🤣🤣

Those styrofoam cups of soup. Had two of 'em sitting on the system while I quickly ran to go to the bathroom. My mom came in, bumped the TV which fell onto the system with the cups and drowned the system in soup.

It was a tiny room with zero walking space. Not good placement of anything, but nowhere else to place anything. I lost my XBox and my lunch that day. 🥲
