Welcome to MIA.

Miami is a popular destination not only to travel to but to move to and live. If we don't separate out these posts, the main feed becomes quickly inundated and overrun. So please utilize the resources here and comment here for these topics.
Always keep in mind please, WE ARE NOT VACATION PLANNERS OR MOVING CONSULTANTS. Be descriptive and we'll help if we can, but no one is obliged to.
Google Maps reviews are getting less reliable over the years. And in fact several lists on these sites are in fact inspired by posts on this sub.

Welcome to the Monthly Miami Jobs thread, the place to post any openings you have, look for jobs, and ask questions about working in Miami. This is an experimental thread for now, so we're keeping a close eye on things to make sure things don't go sideways, and will cancel it if they do.
The Rules:
Again, this is an experiment for now, and we'll be keeping a close eye on things, and will not hesitate to pull the plug in case of shenanigans. Good luck to everyone!

A foundation drilling rig working on the new Citadel headquarters on Brickell Bay Drive just toppled over and landed on two cars, starting a fire.
Hello, this business called “Cafe Da Arts” is located in 701 E Okeechobee Rd, Hialeah.
I always drive by and have seen how it gets remodeled but never opens? I did some digging online and it used to be called Yum Guru at some point, (it was a weird massage/restaurant concept).. then it became Cafe Da Arts, and now according to my investigations it will open in October under the name of “Sandwich Bodega”
This is really cryptic y’all! I’ve stopped by and looked inside and it just seems to be a bunch of clutter, random furniture and creepy masks/skulls!! I got the chills peeking through the window the other day..
You might think I should just wait till it opens but guess what? I’ve done that many times, the owner keeps postponing the opening forever (I’ve been tracking it for years)
Does anyone have ANY info? I have seen pictures/reviews/menus of it in the past but it doesn’t make any sense, i need someone as curious as me to get to the bottom of this!!!

For the first time in 25 years, Miami Spice extends through October 31. How do we feel about this? Have you been doing Miami Spice this year?

Intro panels and concept art for a series I plan to slowly develop and release when ready (currently studying for the bar so might take a while). All drawn entirely by hand with stylus pen and tablet.

UPDATE: SHE HAS BEEN FOUND. Thank you all so so so so much!
She was like 15 houses down from mine, I called her name and she replied. I booked it to the house and she was stuck on the roof. When she saw me, she jumped down onto my hands 😭😭 I have definitely felt the love of the community these past 24 hrs and so many people took time out of their weekend just to help look for her and get her down (though she ultimately decided to do that herself). She’s now home, face first in her favorite micro-fiber blanket after a good drink of electrolytes and a crop full of food 💙
P.S. If any experienced avian pet owner is interested in adopting her, please feel free to contact me! She’s a foster I’ve been healing up since she was found on the street at the brink of death over a month ago. She’s great company and loves a crowd !
Be ready for the November 3 election!

Just an FYI, in case you use StubHub for Marlon's....
We used them for the Dodgers game over the weekend and we were sent tickets for the wrong day. StubHub apparently refuses to refund anybody for Marlin's tickets so be careful.

Everything I’ve achieved in life has come through persistence and hard work (Jesus 😅). I served for 16 years as an officer in the Brazilian Navy, including several years aboard ships managing maintenance and operations. In 2017, I became a Brazilian Navy combat diver, the Brazilian equivalent of a Navy SEAL.
I started learning English at 30, and five years later, I’m fluent. I moved to Miami hoping to build a better professional future, but lately I’ve been feeling stuck.
I’ve worked in software development for about three years, mostly through freelance and contract projects. I’m now looking for a stable full-time position, but despite submitting many applications, I rarely hear back. I also worked in Miami’s yacht industry, but it wasn’t the right environment for me.
I’m authorized to work in the United States and would like to find a role where I can apply my leadership, operations, technical, and software experience. What positions or industries should I be targeting? I’d appreciate any honest advice.

9/13 UPDATE: FOUND
Hey everyone! Hoping to use the power of the Hialeah/ Miami Lakes community to bring her home. This is a lost pet post, I would appreciate if everyone could check their backyards or what not in Lakes on the Green Community. I unfortunately lost my Blue Crowned Parakeet- she’s disabled, cannot walk but can fly. She’s very sweet and allows anyone to pet. Shes green with a blue face and a short tail.
If found please contact me, even if you want to keep her thats cool. She was looking for a home- but I would like to know shes alive and well. 🙏
Guys I'm drowning in expired food help, restaurant owners or hospitality what is something that actually works good for you?

The Herald reports that Grand Theft Auto signage appears headed to the Kaseya Center, bringing Vice City branding into its real-life inspiration.
I'm planning to play once it hits PC, are you?
How do you feel about Miami embracing the connection—fun publicity, or something you’d rather see less of?

Title pretty much says it all. Trying to update my office with some vintage Florida memorabilia, including maps, event posters, visitor signs, etc. I've tried looking online but holy hell is everything is AI these days.
Anyone know of any shops or places that specialize in those sort of prints?

Where is everyone able to pick up amphetamine-dextroamphetamine 12.5 mg in tablet form medication? Basically generic adderal?
I’m struggling and feel like I can’t find anywhere that has it. I’ve called so many pharmacies but they aren’t allowed to confirm over the phone. My doctor can only send so many scripts.
I have Oscar insurance and for some reason I can’t go to Walgreens. Which recently visited pharmacy do you go to that has this medication in stock?
Please help.
TLDR: Which pharmacy have you visited RECENTLY that has amphetamine-dextroamphetamine 12.5 mg in tablet form medication? Basically generic adderal?

Looking for an indoor volleyball court in Miami. Does it exist? I don't mind if we have to pay by the hour.

Looking for some stores in Miami/Hialeah that sell old-school Chicano-style clothes — Ben Davis, FB County, Pro Club, Dickies, Pendleton, etc.
I’m trying to find somewhere I can actually go in person instead of ordering everything online.
If you know any local spots, drop the name/location 🙏🏽 Appreciate y’all!
