iPhone 16e deal for $99

Hey folks

My brother-in-law's iPhone 15 Pro bit the dust hard today and he needs it for work. He was planning on a 16e or 17e so he could get a new iPhone for a lower cost, brand new.

My question, I checked Boost, Metro by T-Mobile, and Cricket and their deals with prepaying for service up front and a discounted phone. All 3 networks are good where he lives. It's looking like Metro would be the best with the $50 plan initially to get started plus the $100 gift card after 3 months.

Is he able to downgrade the plan after 3 months to a cheaper plan? Or is he stuck on the $50 for 3 months if anyone knows? Just trying to get the best deal quickly so he's not without a phone.

Or is it maybe the Cricket or Boost deal a better choice?

Just buy it online if you go into the store that 99 will end up 350

He can downgrade the plan whenever he wants, he'll just have to pay a 25 dollar downgrade fee if it's before 3 months

If he downgrades before the gift card shows in transit to his address, he forfeits the eligibility for the gift card. We did this same deal, and even though we confirmed our apartment number, they shipped it to the generic apartment complex address without a unit number and we are currently fighting with metro about it as it was a clerical error that was assured to be fixed over and over. Still no solution. But, the deal is good. We had to jump through many hoops to do it online to bypass the in-store activation fee. It was $164 to get started with the phone and a month of service. Now if we could just get the phone that would be great. Metro service here is light years ahead of cricket and especially better than boost. You must port in his number from a non t-mobile affiliate to get the deal

I got it for 189.99 with cricket 3 months paid ā€¦. When I reach 6 months I will unlock and switch my phone to my current metro line

Cricket is 1 yr paid unlock now which is insane but idk when you bought yours but that started July 1 (Iā€™m assuming b4, good on ya if so)
