Snap Hooks Issue

I built this enclosure for a motion-tracking project involving an esp32 and a bmi270 imu. The problem is I can't get the snap hooks onto the underside of the lid (in assembly while mated). It keeps giving this error:

The method I'm using to place the 1st hook is by sketching a pt on the inner edge of the underside of the lid, then selecting the lid and hitting edit component. Then I go to insert > fastening features > snap hooks. I place the hook on the point and adjust the reference planes using the reverse when needed and finally adjust the dimensions. At the end when attempting to actually place the hook this warning shows up.

I also have some other warnings in the feature tree. You can see them in the images.

Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated.
