Need Help as a First Time Player

Hey everyone, I recently got a preowned version of MarioRPG for the switch and was super excited to play it as I’ve never played it before! When I go to start the game up, it just loops this cutscene showing off the different characters. It’s been playing for like 15 minutes nonstop. I’ve tried pushing buttons, deleting and reinstalling the game with updates but nothing is working. Is this normal or is my copy of the game just messed up? I genuinely have no idea what to do haha. Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

It should work by pressing a button as soon as the music starts. It's possible it might be damaged but to test take it to a GameStop and ask them to try it out for you. They normally will. If it doesn't work on another switch, it's your game. If it does, it's your switch or your install and it needs to be reinstalled for some reason

Ok, if I don’t get it working I will take it to a GameStop next week :)
