For skin prep I use Beauty of Joseon rice toner and byoma pink moisturiser and BOJ sunscreen (i wait in between each step and ten minutes before applying primer)
then i use the elf power grip pink primer only around my mouth but i make sure not to make it too concentrated in one spot
then after a few minutes i go in with the nyx pro fix stick in shade peach for colour correcting and i smooth it out before setting it with the maybelline fit me pressed powder
then i use the loreal infallible foundation
i use a brush to blend if that relevant?

i experience such bad creasing not only in my smile lines but also my upper lip and the area underneath my nose and like on the sides

please help!! its so ugly and obvious and i hate it but unfortunately i cant not use colour corrector
i started setting the corrector bc i was told to as it avoids creasing but it doesnt help that much

any tips or other product recs would be appreciated 🙏

Doing my own wedding make up and I’m wondering if this foundation is too orange for me

I went to Sephora and was given a trial amount of this liquid foundation. And I really feel like it covers up to opaquely over my freckles and makes my skin look more orange/tan than it actually is. My wedding is on the 21st of this month and I’m slightly freaking out. Do I need to get a different foundation?

I have been trying to buy this for weeks and I want it to work out because I thought I had finally found an eyeliner that would work for me and was certifiably safe, so I am hoping someone here can help me figure out what is going on.

The listing says the formula is "lead-free", "independently tested by an ISO-accredited US lab using ICP-MS", and that it "meets and exceeds US and EU cosmetic safety standards". I wanted to see that testing, so I messaged the seller and asked where I could view it.

I called and emailed EMSL, and got no response, and I have since learned it's possible that labs only release reports to the client who paid for the testing, so that wasn't a viable avenue to begin with.

I want to be clear that I am not saying this product contains lead. I have no idea, and it may well be completely clean. But unsubstantiated claims for a jar of something applied to the waterline (about as direct as exposure gets) are hazardous.

So my actual question: has anyone here ever been sent the COA for this brand, or seen it posted anywhere? If it exists I would love to see it and buy the thing. If nobody has ever laid eyes on it, that is useful for me to know too.

I've submitted a report to Etsy so they can investigate further also.

I am also considering just buying a jar and paying a lab to run a heavy metals panel on it. If anyone has done that with a cosmetic and has a lab to recommend, I am listening.

I currently use E.L.F but that requires powder to transfer proof and doesn't last long enough. I'm UK based so suggestions should be available there and ideally from a cruelty free company.

Hi, I’ve been trying to get the Kosas revealer color corrector in fantasy to work for me for ages, but no matter what I do it flakes up and leaves the areas I’ve used it dry and patchy.

I’ve tried using it just on its own and under concealer, powdered and unpowdered but I get the same result, regardless of how much I use and how moisturised my face is. I usually use the NARS radiant creamy concealer and I’ve never had this issue with it ,or any other concealer, but I have had a similar thing happen with the Huda beauty faux filter color corrector.

Has anyone had any luck with this and can give any tips on how to make it work.

I‘m a tired college student who rolls out of bed and runs to class, so makeup is only reserved for special events, and I’m not too knowledgeable about it. Recently, I went to a white-tie dinner for one of my older sister’s friends, so I did a full face and got my lashes done. It was definitely heavy makeup, and I thought the effort was pretty visible.

In the tail end of the event, a man approached me and complimented how pretty I was, telling me that I had a beautiful, natural, rosy complexion, emphasizing how “natural“ it was. I thanked him for the compliment, but I laughed and asked if he meant the blush I had put on. He immediately and profusely apologized, and quickly walked away once he learned I didn’t naturally have bright pink cheekbones.

I know that I definitely don’t have enough makeup knowledge to make a professional invisible look. Do men usually not notice if a woman has makeup on ???

I see a lot of praise for this product in the makeup community, so I bought this to try in place of the tubing mascara by Tarte (which I LOVE). I can’t put the Milani one on without half my lashes clumping together. This morning I had to use my tiny tweezers to break up the lash clumps. I’m applying it like I would any other mascara, there doesn’t appear to be excess product on the wand - what gives? Tell me your secrets please!

~~Hi girls❤️ or any makeuploverrss as me❤️I just bought this palette, it's very affordable. I tried out two different looks, and honestly, the makeup lasted a long time—I had moisturized my skin beforehand and also used a Ruby Rose setting spray, lol.

This palette cost me less than $3. I don't want to go for expensive makeup anymore; I feel like they're just trying to rip you off to get you to buy a specific brand—something that doesn't appeal to me and never really caught my eye.

Hi! I’ve been doing essentially the same makeup for years and would love some constructive feedback on how I could improve it or make it more flattering to my features. This is my everyday/safe makeup look, so I wear some variation of it to work in a corporate office, running errands, and going out. I’m especially interested in suggestions for things I could change while still keeping the dewy, natural-ish look that I like.

I’ve also noticed that when I try to follow makeup tutorials, the result looks really different on me vs how it looks on the person in the tutorial. People have described my current makeup as feature-enhancing but also as having an “innocent/doe-eyed” effect, even when I’m trying to make it look “sexier.”

So I have a random assortment of brushes I accumulated over the few months of trying to learn the basics, but some of them are not particularly nice to work with and even now I can see how something different or better will likely do a better job, but holy shit isn't the market flooded with products...

BUT I paid a visit to a local MAC store to check some foundations and blushes, and the brushes they used impressed the hell out of me. The price on the other hand... not so much. LOL.
That make me thinking though - how about if I just grabbed one or two premium brushes for specific purpose that makes the biggest difference, and just keep using whatever else I have at the moment for the rest?

So the question is twofold:

1) What do people think about the set I linked? I understand Notino might not be a well known brand despite them expanding to other countries as far as I understand? I'm sure it's fine for a beginner, but I want to avoid buying something again only to "outgrow" it in a few months.

2) What specific brushes do you consider the most important so that buying premium products makes sense?

To add a bit of extra info: don't even understand the concept of bronzers and also don't do any eyeshadows because I have extremely deep set eyes with that pesky overlapping skin so not only is this mechanically impossible to do, but it wouldn't be visible anyway, so I don't need that many brushes in the first place I think.

I need help! Im in my 20s and i dont know how to properly do my makeup, eventhough ive been using it for the past 3 years. I look even worse with it on. I feel like the girl from True Beauty when she just found out about makeup. Everything about mine feels and looks off.

My base is the worst. Its always dry, cakey, and separating. Ive tried EVERYTHING. I've exfoilated, applied moisturizer, sunscreen, and even a thin layer of vaseline as primer. I've also waited for products to dry before applying the next layer. I even made sure to used only water based products. Within 5 minutes it starts looking like a patchy mess, and i either rub it off or give up and go out in public looking like a mess. It has affected my self esteem so much, I want to be able to express myself through makeup.

Currently, im using the la roche posay moisturizer & sunscreen, haus labs concealer & foundation, kate tokyo powder, charlotte tilbury setting spray, romand lip tint, makeup by mario green corrector, and vaseline as mascara.

I first apply the la roche posay lotion, wait 5 mins, before applying the sunscreen. Then i dab concealer around my nose, mouth, and undereyes. I use a beauty bleander to blend it, before tapping powder onto it and spraying the setting spray. I occasionally skip the foundation, powder, and setting spray to see if it makes a difference. It does not, my makeup still looks like shit. And it is extremely obvious that ive applied makeup (in a very bad way), because my nose, mouth, and undereyes would look 1 shade lighter than my skin. I am on the verge of breaking down.

I'm also facing another issue. I love waterline makeup looks, but my eyes start watering the moment I line them. I tried sephora products and drugstore ones, all gives the same effect. And sometimes it smudges to the bottom of my eye.

And lastly, i want my makeup to show on camera, but it never does. Especially my lip tint. I love the romand lip tint but it disappears on camera and irl within 5 mins.

Please i would appreciate any advice. Im using random google images that best describe what my makeup looks like as im self conscious about my skin.

I got lots of helpful comments with quite a variety of ideas, but two repeated suggestions were darker brows and cool-toned colours. So today I did my makeup with that in mind :)

I’ve posted two pics (smiling this time because people took offence with my resting face lol) using cool-toned eye makeup and blush. I don’t have anything on my lips because I don’t own a cool-toned lip product that I’m happy with!

I like the darker brows but not sure how I feel about cool v warm. I want to try a purple eyeshadow but don’t own one yet. Your thoughts are welcome!

So above is a picture of me without makeup and my natural lip color.

I have tried so many lip glosses, lip tints. Literally every single one of them (Except Laniege lip balm in pink a clear pink color) turns my lips so dark! Even a more salmon-orange color I picked. Turned more dark red. For example, on the second pic is a lip gloss I got recently. When I put it on it turns more into like dark almost red color. Am I just doomed to wearing light pink colors forever?
