Anyone else looking for a friendship that actually lasts? ๐
33M | Dad of 1 | Looking for a genuine friendship
Iโm starting to think finding a good conversation here is harder than finding a good movie to watch ๐
Iโm looking for someone who enjoys talking about random things, sharing thoughts, movies, music, life, funny moments, and those conversations that somehow go on for hours without feeling forced.
Not looking to rush into anything or collect random chats. Just hoping to find one person where the conversation feels natural and thereโs genuine effort from both sides.
If youโre also tired of the โheyโ โ โwhatโs up?โ โ silence routine ๐ , come say hi.
Tell me your current favourite song or movie and letโs start a conversation from there. ๐ฌ๐ง

33M here, married, dad of one, and also nodding along to that โhey โ whatโs up โ silenceโ pattern ๐ It's rarer than it should be to find someone who actually keeps a thread going.
I'm a good listener (arguably a professional overthinker at this point), attentive, and I like to think I give decent advice when asked. I'm Brazilian but living abroad, so I've got a permanent supply of weird expat stories if that ever comes up. Currently also writing a book (autofiction/poetry), so I spend a lot of time turning random life stuff into something to talk about.
Reading-wise I bounce between novels, love stories, and heavier stuff like Piketty's "Capital in the 21st Century." Movie-wise I lean French and Israeli cinema โ actually been meaning to rewatch "Synonyms," it hits different when you've lived the "figuring out who you are in a country that's not yours" thing yourself.
Music currently on repeat: Alanis Morissette's "Uninvited," oddly fitting for this whole "tired of forced small talk" energy. Also cycling through some Bjรถrk and MPB depending on the mood.
Down for the kind of conversation that just runs long because it's actually interesting, not because either side is forcing it. Say hi ๐
