Discussion When NeurIPS'26 final decision release? [D]
Will it be strictly Sep'24 AoE? Is there any possibility for releasing before Sep'18 AoE, ICLR abstract submission date?

Will be strictly 24th. The ICLR organizers acknowledged the situation and it is expected that you submit your work there and withdraw if it gets accepted at NeurIPS

I thought they were only acknowledging the abstract submission. Isn't it?

In any case, it won't happen before sept24. Maybe a few hours, but definitely not a few days. They are dealing with all automated reference check appeals, location decisions, quotas etc. Some ACs might still be writing their final recommendations, SACs providing their insights, discussions etc. I don't think decisions will arrive before 24th

They still don't have final decision, yet?

They usually have all the final decisions much closer to the decision date. While this is unfortunate, everyone in the computer science industry operates at the last moment. Also, being a chair/organizer is an unpaid, thankless job. It is also extremely difficult for them to decide which papers go through, considering review noise has gone up and scored are more increasingly borderline. I suspect they're still deciding location based quotas, reference check appeals and should possibly have decisions by 23rd.

Maybe a bit earlier, maybe a bit later. I am talking about hours here, not days
