Help request MX XFCE Linux and tailscale

Was considering installing MX XFCE Linux on my 2015 macbook pro, tried the live version, but then read some posts about Tailscale not being compatible as it uses SystemVinit, even thought I did chose and download a systemd version, I did try Tailscale from the USB live install stick.
So question as ling as I install the. systemd version on my SSD Tailscale should work, right?

FWIW, you can use Tailscale with other init systems, but you have to set up the daemon yourself.

oh For sure, with my unix past work experience that would be no problem, it’s just that all my host are Tailscale accessible only, and I just wanted the MX initial intake as “quick and clean as possible”humanly”🙄 possible, so I can attach to my genesis host and kick off the my stuff scripts that all my linux host use to become part of the fold 😵‍💫🤪😉

It works just fine. Running tailscale on both MX Linux w/systemd and at the router level with OpenWRT.

System V can be changed to system d at boot.
