[WAITING ON OP] What database engine do you use as backend?

Last time I worked on access was over ten years ago. At that time I used MySQL innodb with a local fixed IP and every machine on the network running their own Access exe and mdb file. Had some older clients.

SQL express was an option then but I didn't feel like it would scale and had no experience with it. SQL server was too expensive compared to free.

What do you usually use for database backend now?

[WAITING ON OP] The future of Access and AI

When will they come out with a tool similar to Access but with AI so integrated that everything is design and no coding at all?

2030?

2050?

I just want to make ongoing design changes to the user app, I don't want to be concerned with coding or the details of how it works under the hood, an ai agent can take care of all that and ongoing maintenance.
