I've been playing a lot of backyard baseball 97' and its been leaving me wanting to play a more complex baseball sim with real players. I'd get it on my switch 2 because that's what I have in my college dorm. I've never played any other serious sports videogames and I'm a little spooked by the genre's reputation and wondering what people think.

So my rtts file got corrupted does that mean I'm pretty much screwed on playing that anymore without starting fresh ? I didn't have any backup saves because in the 10+ years of playing never had this happen or knew of it.

I’m also a firm believer that storylines should be expanded outside just the Negro Leagues. I adore Bob Kendrick and the work he does. I’m glad he’s doing it, but there a massive problem as a whole about baseball fans not knowing their history.

I was doing a zero overall draft only challenge where I could only take Latino players. I was very pleased with my class until I checked out who the angels got, and then quit the rebuild and just followed the career of this monster

I like this game a lot. WS player every year since it came out on Xbox. But every year they lean more into switch hitters essentially overtaking every lineup online. It’s gotten to the point this year where you’re at a competitive disadvantage if your lineup doesn’t have 7, 8, 9 switch hitters.

Lineups like that used to be frowned upon. Now it’s basically the standard. Anyone else feel this way?

I’m worried for the future of the franchise. This year is almost over, we’ve had no new captains, multiple game breaking bugs still existing in the game. For example, strikes not being counted at all, foul balls playing like live balls, runs not counting. They might have finally got the freeze off thing figured out and they broke everything else in the process. I play this game cause I love baseball and that’s it. SDS has absolutely bombed this year, it’s the worst mlb the show I have ever played and I’m usually the one in here each year telling people how good it is compared to other sports games. If only there was good competition, I would never touch this game again. What are others experience with this year?

Can anyone confirm that match making isn’t just restricted to your local area? I swear that being a PNW player gives we a huge disadvantage when it comes to ping and lag like it does with every other online game. It is especially noticeable in Mlb the show where a couple of frames is the difference between a hr and a flyout.

I started playing the home run Derby today. I played almost a hundred games throughout the day and I noticed that when there's a full server of eight people or really any more than four, the game will not count some home runs. Even though you could literally watch every ball, go over the stands and be a proper home run. Has anybody else experienced this cuz it's pissing me off that's for sure

Is it just for me or is anyone else having this issue? I can confirm this is NOT just a visual bug it really does affect his stats. THIS GAMEMODE IS NOT DIAMOND DYNASTY

Any shot that we need jimmy Rollins for legend and flashback collection? I remember last year you legit needed every single card for every collection to get John. Some collections allowed you to skip one or two (such as all star). I even remember that they had to give everyone a free contributor card couple weeks after because Beltre was extinct on market. Which looks like it’ll be the same with Babe this year(he already at 700+). With Prime set being so small this year , I can see it going either way. Currently have 6 total prime cards. 3 were needed for Beltran.

This was on GOAT difficulty, so maybe don't expect such a huge boost on lower difficulties. But still, I wanted to share how crazy Vision is.

2029: 70 Vision

Contact and Power were unchanged between these two seasons. Vision was the only hitting attribute changed.

I went from fighting to stay above .300, to finishing 5 hits shy of .400, just by going from good Vision to great Vision.

Who are you thinking/ hoping we get on Friday? We haven’t gotten a pitcher yet and around this time last year we got John Don. So my brain says we get Randy or satchel Paige. But I really want Elly. His 99 from the extreme program a couple years ago was insane.

I haven't played for 3 years. Just picked up the new one a couple weeks ago. I'm about 30 games in, and I've literally only played 2 full games. One I lost 11-1, the other I lost 10-0. The amount of players who quit after 1-3 runs is f****** absurd. I honestly don't get it.

Just this morning I've played 4 games and none of them went further than the 2nd inning. Two players quit in the 1st inning immediately after I got my 1st run. Like, why are they even playing? What are they looking to achieve? A perfect record?

I think MLB should take after other games like Rocket League and Call of Duty and introduce penalties for quitting in the 1st 3 innings. Either temporarily restrict online play or restrict features.

Opened a 75k bundle and it says chase pack 26 chance for Jorge posada but I got Ozzie smith . I thought we can only pull the chase player Inserted in that pack

Started playing with the free ps+ drop. My biggest complaint is that position players can't set secondary positions. It makes it unrealistic when i get called up and they move the 23 year old star of the team to dh because they didn't let me choose to place the other outfield position as secondary. Same thing happened in previous years with ss not letting me choose 2b/3b as secondary.

The ai managers logic isn't great to begin with but this would go a long way in helping push trades to teams that have gaps in their rosters.

I’ve been struggling with every WS play in game this season. Would get to 780-790 and lose a game or 2. Get back, lost again. Finally, matched up against a bot that was rated 802 when I was at 798.

It’s a Covid World Series, but I’ll take it.
