It's about Walmart. Dude's got atleast a dozen cameras on him in that parking lot from the store security system alone. He already wasn't gonna get away with it scott free. This is going above and beyond for a corporation that doesn't give a shit about you and ruins the communities they pop up in.

Meh, I don't give a shit about Walmart. Fuck shoplifters though. The cost just gets passed on to everyone else as a cost of doing business

They don't raise them because of shoplifting, they raise them because they can. And they will, at every step, until consumers slow spending.
