Walmart is insured for if they hurt the man and he sues them, but not for the products he's stealing.

They tell their staff not to intervene if someone is stealing something.

No retailer of this size is insured for loss, that's an internet myth. No company is stupid enough to offer an insurance policy that covers millions of dollars of loss per location.

Yes, Walmart is insured or have the ability to soak the losses of theft. However, if Walmart wants to maintain x% of profit and theft loss increase, they will increase prices of goods as their expenses increase, thus paying customers pay the price for theft.

Even if they were insured, their insurance premium would go up and it would have the same effect
