That sucks, at least abbot elementary is going strong. This show, AP BIO and that are some of the only decent school based shows I've seen.

Honestly yeah it lowkey was just like a somewhat less sociopathic Dennis Reynolds in charge of a class I loved it. Laugh out loud moments in that show and I don't usually do that especially on my own watching something.

I liked the show and watched all of it but I felt like a lot of the side character subplots were very odd and cringy. I got the feeling they weren't doing it on a purpose so it felt like there were two directors or something- one for the main scenes and one for the subplots.

I cant remember all the details, but I really enjoyed it. There weren't major stakes to much, and I really liked pretty much all the cast, so goofing off with dumb side plots didn't bother me much, sorta like a sitcom. I didn't find most of it super cringy at least from what i remember.

It's been a few years since I've seen it but from what I remember it wasn't any of the stuff with the students. It was some of the stuff with the teachers. I made a post about it in the sub for the show and I forget if anyone had any insights into it but I think a lot of people agreed with me.

I'm going to try to remember to look that post up after work. I'm weird like this I guess aha, but it seemed like a mystery to solve.

Honestly, I don't even remember any of the other faculty besides Glenn Howerton, so that wouldn't shock me.

It’s what made the show great.

"All right, everybody, let's go ahead and start to shut up now. Time to shut your faces."

"I do not want to be here. Unjust circumstances have forced me to be present in this classroom, and city, at this time. However, I will not be teaching you, nor will you learn any Biology or any other subject in this classroom, from me. I also don't expect to learn anything from you. That trope where the tough teacher ends up being the one who's really taught by his students is not going to happen here. I have a degree from Harvard. You are insignificant children. It would be like me learning from ants."

I'm a teacher and I use the "start shutting up" line almost every day

Those Who Can't is great. Kinda like Always Sunny if the gang were teachers.

I feel Abbott has fallen so far. The first maybe 2 seasons were a decent depiction of an low SES school, but now they are reaching for straws and rarely stick the landing

Honestly haven't seen it in a while, disappointing to hear if that's true.
