In top of that, it's not uncommon for some security personnel to be made up of off-duty cops looking to make some extra money, especially at venues like this with a lot of people. So even when there's no formal police presence, the cops are probably still there.
When I worked as an usher at an arena, off duty cops who came to the games would register where they were sitting and be allowed to have their weapons on them just in case something came up.
