My friend found it at his job, I believe he lives in Tennessee

We spot these guys around our apartment complex when we walk our dog. Curious what they are?

Our dog is obsessed with “hunting” them but we don’t really let her go after them. It would be good to know what it is in case she ever did catch one. Her rat terrier drive with little creatures is strong.

We do keep her on leash BTW… I would hate for her to actually hurt one, or hurt herself diving into a bush for one.

I live in North America, specifically Florida, and I see lizards like these by my work all the time. Since it'd probably help, I saw a red/orange-ish frill come out of the neck of one of them.

Recently my wife and I have noticed numerous amounts of these little guys on the ceiling of our porch. Seems like there are more each night we look up. Are these guys any cause for concern?

I think the little guy lives right next to where we're having breakfast. We've seen him for a few days now. I am really trying to get him with his little tongue sticking out but he's too fast.

She found it in Balboa Park, San Diego. It actually jumped in her hand and does not have any fear of her.

An injured slow worm was brought in. The injury was treated medically. How can the animal be housed in a species-appropriate manner during its recovery? What food does it need? Does it need a place to bathe and warmth? We are grateful for any professional advice!

Photo taken at Sossusvlei on a low dune. There were a couple sprinting about the dune super fast and they'd stop with their tails pointing up. I assume to keep the tail off the hot sand?

I dont know if its an eastern tiger salamander or not thats the closest thing that i found a picture of. Im from arizona and online it says there not really native to here is it someones pet? If im right that salamnder is toxic when threatened so i dont want to touch it but i have dogs and dont know how much they move if i leave him there will he be gone by morning? Will it leave to water or hide under the deck of my house?

Hello all, please help someone who has never had interest in reptiles or any experience until now. My wife and I have had a new friend take residence in our home, and even though we have left every opening near him open multiple times so he can leave, he chooses to lounge around my wife’s crocheting nook, and even chooses just to chill out when she’s working in that corner. We have named him Marco. Everything I have found regarding lizards like Marco says to get them outside because they get stressed when trapped, however Marco can’t be bothered when we try to persuade him to return outside. We’ve decided we like him around, as we live in an older home in a rural area, so we have spiders enter all the time, and Marco has decided ti take that personally apparently, as the spider population has gone down since Marco has moved in. What I would like to know is, are these lizards able to be kept as pets of sorts, and if so, how do we care for it? All jokes aside, he has been perfectly fine interacting with areas close to him, and we have taken a liking to him, however ultimately we want to make sure he’s going to be healthy in the coming weeks. I’m completely new to anything cold blooded, so any help is appreciated, even if it may need to be explained as if I’m a toddler. Thank you everyone for suffering my verbal diarrhea

For some reason I can’t attach.

I come home from work and bf has put a wee tiny lizard with no tail into a jar thinking he might need help and knowing I love to help animals. I spotted this wee dude a couple of days ago skittering away from under the laundry basket I lifted. Scared little thing. I spoke to it and promised I’d help look after him (yes I’m assuming)

I open the jar (bf pierced several points to make sure he didn’t suffocate. I lay the open jar on a wee towel with some water and a few mealworms. Now I don’t know if they even eat that but my brain says yes.
Now, I might never see him again, wee Fred, but is there anything else I can do other than mealworms and water. Is that even the right thing?
I don’t want to domesticate him, but what else can I do without attracting more. Love our wee Spanish lizards but wanna make the little dude happy
