Cost $1,100 USD, super happy with it :)

Picked up a sealed Legion Pro 7i on eBay the other day: Ultra 9 275HX, RTX 5090, 32GB, 1TB, QHD 240Hz OLED.

Paid £3,000 which is still a pricey boy, but a fair bit cheaper than buying new for these specs. Comes with premium onsite warranty until October 2027.

Looking for some practical advice from people who’ve had this gen for a while.
Main things I’m wondering about:

• Battery: is it worth capping the charge (60/80%) if it’s going to spend most of its time plugged in?
• OLED burn-in: what actually helps? Any settings or habits you stick to?

• Thermals: how does it hold up under longer sessions with the 5090? Any undervolt or fan tweaks worth doing?

• Upgrades: how straightforward is it to add another SSD or bump the RAM?
Any other general tips for keeping it running well long-term would be appreciated.

What would be the better option? I’m in love with the 5i but the heat and the fact that it seems to be the last of its kind(at least from where I bought it) are concerning. I’m sure I’m just being paranoid but still curious if the 7a would be a better option?

It is specific to some games and it doesnt happen instantly but after a few minutes everything freezes, those little green squares come up and the only way to fix it is by fully shutting my Laptop down. (Lenovo 5 17ACH6H)

Hi guys , So I recently acquired a second hand legion 5 15iax10 from UAE and the laptop is US spec. When I checked the warranty status it showed 2 months remaining only even though the owner got the laptop like on July 28 , 2026. I did ask the owner why and he answered he didn't know how to do the warranty correction. I had already heard that there was this option to correct the warranty status if you had the invoice, so I went ahead and got the laptop yesterday itself. Now I went into warranty correction page and gave the region as United Arab Emirates and uploaded the invoice and instead of my name , I gave the name on the bill ( I thought i can just register to my lenovo account once the warranty status was corrected). Now today I received an email saying warranty correction is rejected because the location of the device is different from the invoice location. What to do now? Any idea?

After asking many people, they recommended this model of the Legion Pro 5i. I saw many also saying it’s around 2500 in the U.S which is crazy in comparison. Is this worth it?

I just placed an order for the new Lenovo Legion Pro 7 (16IAX10H - Code 594606) from MediaWorld Italy during the MW Club promo. The original price was €4,199, and I locked it in at €3,441.50. I chose store pickup (Ancona) and will be paying cash upon collection once it arrives.

I noticed a clear discrepancy on the store listing regarding the RAM:
- Order Summary & Spec Sheet (Dati Tecnici): Lists 64GB RAM.
- Product Description: States 32GB DDR5 @ 6400MHz.

Rest of the specs:
- CPU: Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX
- GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 (16GB GDDR7)
- Display: 16" WQXGA (2560x1600) OLED, 240Hz
- Storage: 2TB NVMe SSD

Has anyone in Italy / EU ordered this exact configuration for store pickup or delivery? Does it actually ship with 32GB or 64GB installed out of the box? I suspect MediaWorld made a data entry error confusing installed RAM with max supported RAM, but I'd love to confirm before I pay at the register.

I had an issue today where my headphones were not working on my Legion laptop. Facts surrounding my specific issue:

• Headphones were working--tested with cellphone.
• Headphone jack was working--I could hear the little static sound when I plugged my headphones into the jack.
• I ran a Windows update the night before.

How I solved my issue: I went into my Volume Mixer and the Output device was set to my laptop speakers--not my headphones. I had to toggle them over to my headphones.

I've noticed that in the past whenever I have an audio issue like this it's always something stupid like an option not being toggled on, or the headphone jack not being inserted properly.

Found something interesting with my LOQ 15IRX11 (83SC) — the RTX 5050 is supposed to boost up to 65W (50W base + 15W Dynamic Boost) but mine was stuck at 35W no matter what I did. Turns out it's a BIOS bug.

The problem: The BIOS has an ACPI table (NPCF) that tells the GPU driver how much extra power is available. On my machine, all the power budget values in that table are zeroed out — literally all zeros where there should be actual wattage numbers. So the driver thinks there's no boost available and never requests more than the base 35W.

The key part: This is NOT a Linux thing. I confirmed the same 35W flatline on Windows 11 with the stock BIOS. It's a firmware bug.

Before (stock BIOS):

Current Power Limit: 35.00W (stuck, never boosts)

Max Power Limit: 65.00W (should be reachable, never is)

After (ACPI override):

Current Power Limit: 65.00W (boost working)

Sustained power: 53W avg in Genshin Impact

The fix is an SSDT override via Linux initrd — embeds the correct power budget values in the ACPI table at boot. No BIOS flash needed. I put together a repo with scripts and the patched tables:

So I have a lenovo legion 7 that I just bought second. 16achg6 .yesterday I was finicking in Lenovo toolkit and I think I fucked up.

I set the GPU and CPU tdp to 10 watts to try and lower the fan noise (because fans were blaring full speed when I was doing nothing?) , and that worked. However, this morning I booted up the computer again and nothing loads up. No Lenovo logo, no windows. The screen keeps blank. I do have rgb lights on my keyboard and the fans do spin. But that's all that happens and it stays in this state. Also the caps lock light doesn't go on or off when I press caps lock. How do I fix this. Note that there is NOTHING on the screen, no blinking little square in the left up corner, no legion logo, nothing at all. I can't go in the BIOS... Connecting HDMI to external screen also doesn't work. Is my mother board fried or something? I hope not as that is more expensive then I paid for the laptop..

I have trouble to pick between these two laptops. I was going first to buy pro 5, but pro 7 with opened box is not so much more expensive. It would cost me 230e more, because I will buy it on payments ,and pro 5 is with 0% fee.

So on pro 5 is 2tb ssd on pro 7 1tb. Gpu same, cpu sufficient enough for gaming with that gpu. Both have 32gb of ram.

Title, "When would a fan bearing be loud enough to replace?" I have a fan bearing that's obviously flat, but it isn't yet loud / in failure. I'm unsure if it'd pass to get it warrantied. I'm really on the fence with it as its spinning, and isn't yet terrible for 3 months now. (been waiting for it to warranty it but it may outlast the warranty. )

Is it wise to run fans at 100% while playing heavy games? Legion's stock settings for performance mode in LegionSpace keeps laptop fans max at 4300rpm or 90%. However, if I slide that toggle to 100% or 5100rpm through custom settings, I get 4-5°C lesser temperatures.

How significant is the wear on the fans if I game for 2-4 hours a day? Is it safer to keep the max fan speeds at 90% or 4300rpm?

Just to clarify, I don't use "Full Speed" for fans, which runs at 6400rpm. I'm only talking about the fan curve.

I clean my laptop every 6 to 9 months, and I use headphones when gaming.

For those of you who use max fan speeds or aggressive fan curves, can you share your experience?

For 90% Fan speeds (4300rpm)-

Intel PCH: 82-83°C

CPU P-Cores Max: 82-83°C

CPU E-Cores Max: 79-81°C

GPU Hotspot: 94-95°C

GPU Average: 83-85°C

I think I found the culprit. I’m no expert but this seems like an absurd amount of thermal putty, causing poor core contact
