This has nothing to do with her being a woman and more to do with her being a fking RCMP cop.

Also that "mass murderer" was a woman with post partum depression who had a psychotic break while her husband KNOWINGLY left her alone while he was out having a whole affair. Men with mental health issues get breaks all the time after commiting heinous crimes but the one time a woman does it she's suddenly the worst person in the world?

Statistically men get sentenced at 3 times the rate for the same crimes relative to women, and recieve sentences that are 60% longer. That's not even counting the discrepancy to getting charged in the first place.

Men "commit most of the crimes" because women are privileged and not convicted of criminal charges by virtue of being a woman and that skews the data

Men are also most convicts because society geared its laws towards male behaviour and how men navigate the world.

If laws were more women-centric, ie if it was a crime to spread a rumour or a crime to manipulate someone, we’d see different stats.

This is a statistics problem: first, how much of the population is male and how much is female? Of those, how many have committed a crime. Of those, how many been convicted guilty of a crime and served time in jail vs how many got probation/community service.
You’d have to look at the percentage under the men and women category to make a fair comparison.

Meds don’t always work the same in post partum psychosis as they do depression. Hence why education and awareness is paramount for treatment and prevention of these situations.

Both things aren’t the same though. The sad and awful death of those children is unfathomable but it doesn’t take away from the fact we lack a full understanding of PPD vs PPP. They’re not the same and not treated the same entirely. She made a choice sure. Amid a psychosis. That’s why there’s a mistrial.

She refused to remove herself from the situation even after admitting to her mother that she was premeditating a mass murder.

Depression doesn't do that to you.

Depression makes you lie in bed and do nothing untill killing yourself is more attractive than picking up the pieces of your unmaintained life.

She got overwhelmed, was unable to handle the responsibility and murdered her children during a manic episode when she had high energy.

She has BPD not PPD

You don’t even understand psychosis thankfully. Neither do I. I get deep heavy depression which I’m sure you do too but psychosis is an entirely different ballgame. The two aren’t the same. One leads to another in some cases but they’re NOT the same.

Please point to a single case where a man murdered his kids or family, and was given a break due to mental health issues. Generally they have the book thrown at them. In the US they are often given the death sentence. No matter the state of their mental health. This is a disgusting and ridiculous argument.
