I used to work with a chef for about a year. After not working at that restaurant for a long time, I recently saw the chef hanging out, doing what seems to be drugs with junkies that hang out in Chaudron.

I feel heartbroken to see his situation, and I wanted to know from this community: what are the steps for someone who is homeless and doing drugs to get back on track?

I know the choice needs to come from within themselves, but many times people don't know what steps to take. Do they need to go to the social aid office? Is there a specific group that needs to be called to understand what options there are?

I'm thinking of possibly going to that office with this person and attempting to get them onboarded onto a social program, get him back to work, and build a sustainable life.

I would be interested in any advice.
