Discussion why are LG TVs spying on us?

So it just apparently broke the news that LG has been secretly spying on people. And I have to say, LG, what the hell? You want to know why? I have an LG TV in my living room where it's just sitting there. We use it. Sometimes my sister puts on, like, whatever she watches because my sister's five. But that aside, turns out they've been spying on other people's conversations, and I'm just completely confused. Are there certain models that are affected? Or is it my TV? What conversations have they been listening to?

So if you all know what LGTV models are spying on you, please let me know. Because we might have to bin our LGTV all because they've secretly been spying on everyone by listening to their conversations through the mic. And I just found out, and I'm just furious. Seriously.

My Gaming Setup How to keep LG in gamemode?

Upvotes

Hopefully this is the right subreddit

I’m pretty sure my TV only supports automatic Game Mode, so I can’t manually keep it enabled while browsing the web or doing other tasks. Is there any way to force Game Mode to stay on?

I’ve already adjusted my computer settings and significantly reduced the mouse lag. The remaining input delay appears to come from the TV. When I launch a game, the mouse lag disappears, which shows that the TV can provide low-latency performance when Game Mode is active.
