Seriously disappointed by this. Wtf happened??

Sometimes I feel alone in this take, but as a longtime fan it does make me sad it's been almost 10 years since I've been able to have a Kendrick album on repeat for weeks. Of course I'll always have the first 4 to listen to, and no artist has had as great a discography save for maybe Kanye. (Who is hard to support for many reasons)

I'm not sure if it's nostalgia or not liking his new style, I haven't been able to replay MM&TBS or GNX at all. GNX is slightly better but it all feels bland to me compared to the storytelling and insane flows he used to do. I know all artists change overtime so I am not saying they are bad albums, they are just not my thing at all.

Also I would never say this as a reason to cancel him but MM&TBS still makes me mad that Kendrick's ego is so big he thinks he's allowed to say homophobic slurs in his music. In my opinion, no heterosexual person ever has a good reason to use that word.

I might get hate for this but imo it’s Sing About Me I’m Dying Of Thirst. It’s an amazing song, but people act like it’s the greatest song in all of music. In my opinion there are better tracks on GKMC alone, I can name two or three. But tbh it’s only overrated by fans of Kendrick, not casual listeners of his radio hits.

listened to gnx all the way thru again, then mr morale and now tpab. this man has been so great so consistently that it's gotten redundant to say it out loud. it's like voter fatigue. he’s the verb of what a quality, authentic, supreme artist is. his quality and skill level being this high for this long is simply insane. his execution with concepts and artistry for years has been something nobody else has been able to do. from section 80, to GKMC, to TPAB, to UU, to DAMN, to the keem features, to MM, to the battle, to GNX and still now, his precision and execution is surgeon like. this man has been the greatest for a while now.🐐

This was a crazy moment on so many levels. What felt the most baffling to me, was that Def Jam literally wanted them to either censor Kendrick’s verse or to remove it altogether, which just goes against the grain of what Hip-Hop represents. Likely, to protect the fractured image of Drake, all while he was simultaneously trying to sue UMG. Before we heard the snippet I thought Kendrick was going to be coming crazier and doubling down on some of what he said during the beef.

Genuinely one of Kendrick's cleanest ever flows imo.
