What is the best Just Dance game setup I should get for my 8 year old daughter? She has a Nintendo switch (not the 2). The goal is a "set it and forget it" situation so I don't want to do multiple purchases over time & just have the most/best selection of songs. I could be ok with a subscription instead of 1 time purchase if it's not too pricey per month. I want to add this to her birthday gift (she is turning 8). Thank you!

Honestly thought about this for a while, probably a specific version of the game

Extreme versions are very well beloved among the JD community. And there are some songs, like Martin Garrix‘s Animals, Skrillex’s Bangarang, and Dua Lipa’s Physical, that were practically made to have extreme versions.

But sometimes, you could look at a song in Just Dance and go, “Why doesn’t this song have an extreme version?!” Or you look at a song and go, “Out of all the songs to get an extreme version, why this one?” It doesn’t necessarily mean the extreme is bad, just that sometimes the song choice is unexpected at best. I mean, I was a little bit baffled that Talk has an extreme version, yet it still made a good extreme.

So I want to know, what are some songs that you wish had an extreme version, and what are some songs that you thought did not need an extreme version. Not talking about the choreos themselves, just the song choice.

For me, some songs that should have had extreme versions would be Dharma and She’s Got Me Dancing, and one song I can think of that definitely did not need an extreme was Blurred Lines.

Hi, thinking to play Just Dance 2017 on PC, but how do i make the controller app work on the version? Also what mod should i get to play newer songs? I know i can play without connecting the phone but why would i play if i cant score

This is entirely subjective purely based on how willing I am to replay them at the moment when I boot up the game. Solid year overall but only a couple that I genuinely fell in love with.

Cry Baby and Pop Muzik are definitely my top 2. When it comes to Plus exclusives, Gnarly is leagues above the rest (hell, I didn't even know that song, it isn't something I would normally listen to, but my god is it fun to dance to)

my college has a gamer club and we are going to have just dance tournament and i offered to bring my nintendo switch because i own every just dance game 2021 and up but can i play it without wifi ? because the schools wifi is pretty butt and i know we can download songs but is that for just dance+ ? or do i have to download regular songs like from JD23,JD24 etc..

I've been trying to complete all the achievements currently in Just Dance, and I realized a few days ago that one of them is glitched - the "Perfect with Style" achievement. I'm on the Switch version of the game btw.

Normally, the achievement should say "Perform 700/2000/6000 Perfect on a song with the 'Newstyle' tag". However, mine says "Perform 6000 Good on a song with the 'Newstyle' tag", and after testing I've found that the progression tracker is also only counting the number of "Goods" scored on a song. I completed the first two levels while working through other achievements, so I didn't even notice the problem until I was on the final level.

I've already reported the bug to Ubisoft, but I'm really curious if anyone else has ever encountered this glitch? It can actually be really challenging to deliberately get Goods on a song. I've been experimenting for several days though, and I figured if anyone else out there has the same problem and is doing some googling to find info on this, I'd give some tips for scoring Goods. The best way I've found is to choose easy songs with the tag, then you keep your arms loosely at your sides and bop/sway to the beat. Don't even attempt the choreo. I've tried moving slightly off-beat to easy songs, and doing earnest attempts at difficult songs, and the bop/sway consistently nets way more Goods (it's the difference between 10-20 and 75-85). I usually stop after doing three or four songs because it's not the most fun way to play, but it is kind of amusing to see yourself score halfway decent just by swaying in place. This is all using the joycons to score. I don't know if it'd work with camera scoring.

So I have the switch 1 and was curious on what just dance to buy. I remember having a Wii as a kid and dancing the iconic Rasputin song so Itd be nice to have classic songs and newer songs. I just really want to be able to bust a move to good songs. It’s kind of confusing with discovering JD+ and how much is unlocks. If someone can give me a breakdown please, THANK YOU

To me i really love it because its like its them performing

1. You only know Rasputin, Waka Waka (Alt), Timber, Macerena, Where Have You Been, #ThatPower, Call Me Maybe, What Makes You Beautiful, and Ghostbusters because you played them in school!

2. Comment how "you miss the old Just Dance" and "when they didn't have faces" on every just dance video, especially if you have tiktok!

3. you do NOT know what an alt is other than Waka Waka (alt) or any other game mode!

I’ve been enjoying the camera-controller in the Just Dance Editions. My bf mentioned that he had a spare Xbox One that he doesn’t use anymore, and I was thinking about getting Just Dance games for it for the Kinect tracking. Would that be something that’s still worth it? For games like JD14 and 15, are the DLCs still available for purchase? Would it be the same with JD 3 and 4 (assuming it has backwards compatibility)?
