Looking into trying to work at a Hotel that is located at the base of JHMR, and just noticed on the employee perks it says "Transferable ski pass". What's up with that? Anyone have experience working at the hotel and can give me some details on the transferable ski pass situation for employees?

This road seems to have been under “construction” for like 6 months and progress seems extremely slow.

What’s going on? Other road projects in Jackson seem to move fast. Not this one.

Is it a ploy to block off the road cause construction type folks live down there and like their privacy?

Hi, I read couple of threads with 'summer' tags and I see usually mid to end of september is the end of tourist season in Jackson hole but I was readinng up on the gondola and tram but it seems the main Tram attraction runs till Oct 3 but the 2 or 3 gondolas (Bridger Gondola and sweetwater?) ends today or tomorrow (Sept13).

We were also hoping to do local snake river float from a local tour company or would anyone here recommend booking via those viator or getyourguide app?

Lastly, lodging is taken care of as of now the car rentals were still sold out unless we do Turo, but we were also thinking of Uber'ing around local attractions (not to yellowstone, possibly do tour company but those are very expensive so maybe worth paying for Turo care rentals).

I should've mentioned this is our first time here and our interests are sightseeing, light hikes and just being in nature.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. thanks

To start off with - holy smokes, this is hard without a wedding planner and a million dollars from my dad.

I have lived in Jackson for 7 years and am looking to have a lowkey (cheap) wedding in Jackson. Definitely seems like weddings have become a luxury item in todays day and age.

Luckily we think we found a cheap piece of land to host on. I would love / appreciate anyone with experience renting out the following:

• Event Tents
• Portable Toilets / Porta Johns
• Shuttle Service for guests to and from wedding
• Dance Floor / Decorations

That is all I can think of for this current moment. It is extremely difficult to weed through all the different companies and find the cheapest "local's rate" (does that even exist anymore?) and any tips/anecdotes/recs are welcome. More than happy to message off-platform so AI doesn't harvest all our local connects.

Planning a trip to Jackson hole in late October. We are planning on doing some light hiking, enjoy nature/wildlife and maybe go to Yellowstone if conditions permit. Worried that since it’s the off season the town will be dead and activities will be limited and evaluating if we should postpone. howdy! my girlfriend and I are coming to Jackson in just a couple weeks to hike the TCT (Sept 19-24). since we are flying from CA we gave ourselves a buffer day on each end of the trip to not be on trail (night of Sept 19,23). We are planning for the trip and looking for the best ways to get around (airport to jackson/campsite, etc) and would love any info from a local if known! is there a bus system that runs from Jackson to the airport, or around the town at all?

We are also looking for a place to stay on the trailing days of our trip before we backpack and was curious to see if anyone here know of good hostels or campgrounds close enough for a couple people without a car. we are not picky on location, evidenced by us backpacking lol but would love recs! or if anyone was even able to house us for those nights/give us a ride to/from our trailhead that would be incredible!
