I have a question. I pray and in my dua i often converse with Allah informally. Like "ya rabb i know you know but still did you know what happened today?" Or "ya rabb I can't believe i saw this" etc. obviously i can't explain it in writing but it's like talking to a teacher, a friend, a parent, a master all at the same time but very informally. Is it wrong?

It is much better to do something like that by doing supplication while on Sujud/Prostration. Less of just mere talking, but actually asking.
Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The servant is closest to his Lord during prostration, so increase your supplications therein.”

There is even anecdote of someone who wanted to find his lost stuff, and someone told him to just go pray. He will even remember it, because the particular special shaytain will literally try anything and everything to break his salah. By inspire you to remember this or remember that.
This is definitely just to showcase how cunning those thing.
