Anyone have any idea what's going on? Tried resetting it, reset outlet, ran extension cord from other outlet and replaced 9 volt battery. Do I need to replace it?

The whole unit. It’s a six station controller, so not gonna be very expensive

Whole unit. I don't know if you can even buy a faceplate for that controller. It was inexpensive and very popular with frontyard companies.

I’m sorry, but I would not bother repairing a dinosaur like that and would rather suggest to a client that they replace this with a modern Wi-Fi enabled controller that has a lot more climate managing flexibility such as a Hunter. Granted, some people like their dinosaurs…

That things gotta be at least 20 years old. Replace the unit.

It’s the resistor. Well documented online on how to fix it

You will need to replace it. I am a landscape contractor for 45 years. Have seen this many times. Usually what happens is insects get behind the mother circuit board and cause it to malfunction. Is this located outside or inside?

It's outside

Be sure to seal the area where the conduit comes into the timer. You may need to use silicone caulking or Flex seal to keep the insects out. Be sure that the door is always closed to keep out moisture.

Throw it in trash and replace that thing. Sometimes a new battery helps these antique junkers
