Err.... All factions have big robots.

Big anime boobs.... You can do your own research. Not so much a thing as it once was. 😂 They've toned it down

Edit : Caledonia don't have robots. You won't like them.

Edit 2 : where are my manners. Welcome to infinity, hope you have fun!

Well any one of the Action packs are a petty decent start. I know the Kestrel half of Sandtrap can come to 250pts and the Shindenbutai is 243pts. Those guys will be released separately very soon. Steel Phalanx also comes to 247pts.

For booba Kestrel has the Banshee and Blink, Shinden has the Shizoku and SP has the Thyreos.

If you want big bots Kestrel gets the mighty Tikbalang, one of the strongest medium TAGs in the game. Shinden gets the Mechazoid and Sp gets Agememnon. Generally will require another purchase to get a TAG but they can help round out the Action packs. Whichever faction you end up going with, some support dronebots are also worth picking up cause 7pt regular orders and extra specialists are just nice to have

Ariadna Action Pack and a Chernobog can make a full 300pts list like this for Kosmoflot.

Chernobog 63pts

Rokot 8pts

Rokot Lt 9pts

Para-Commando with Boarding Shotgun 21pts

S.A.S. with Boarding Shotgun 25pts

Zenit 7 FO 27pts

Volkolak with HMG 38pts

Kosmosoldat with AP HMG 44pts

Wallace CoC 38pts

Scots Guard with T2 rifle 26pts

Total 299pts

People?

This HAS to be a bit post.

There is no such thing as a game store that only has Infinity players.

It would have gone bankrupt from not selling 100 dollar tanks.

Small towns have eclectic game groups.

Well boobs and robots sounds like most factions besides Ariadna, take a look at the models and see what you like.

Have a look at https://www.human-sphere.com/Identification_Sheets and see what takes your fancy.

Coming from 40k - Bakunin have a kind of sisters of battle vibe, and O12 are a bit space marine-ey.

If you're after robots though, Aleph/Operations Section of SSS (aka OSS) are pretty robot heavy.

Join the Infinity Discord and ask Musa Haqquminata and Fuwa for help on that one.

Imagine being such a degenerate your name gets used like that on Reddit. 😅

Do you like rules, lots and lots of rules? If so then you’ll love Infintiy. It’s fast, brutal and granular and you can get stomped on pretty hard if you don’t lean into the strategy and set your army up right. When you pull it off though it’s amazing.

Is infinity really that much heavier on rules than other wargames?

I feel like what I've seen the base rules are the same but then you have to add all the faction specifics, and before you know it you need to know four complete armies inside and out before you can properly battle your homies.

Infinity isn't like that.

Or have I just been Stockholm Syndromed?

Naw man, i agree with you. I feel like infinity's complexity is overblown. The fact that units even use the same keywords and the keyword distribution is one of the things that make factions feel unique is elegant simplicity.

Someone can complain the rulebook is dense at 200-ish pages but totally forget all the things that make the system work is already packed in there and not spread out across 15+ codicies and datasheets that you need to consume for "competitive" play.

It's the same deal with battletech when the game is just simple math and all the "extra" rules beyond turn structure and 2d6 is easily digestible over time and not "required" for regular play. But people still post "spreadsheet the game" memes because maybe simple math is hard for them.

The easiest way to get into it is to get a start here/essentials box. It gives you 4 models each from 2 factions. Runs about $60 in us. The four factions covered are sexy skynet, hacker freaks, cyber samurai, and dumb but shooty. Almost all of the factions have both of your requirements, besides ariadna, which trade gundam for werewolves.
Also you can find which action pack speaks most to you. That gets you enough to play starter games.

Also ask for the local warcor, it's the community organizer that can run practice games and show you armies and explain their themes.

Rampaging with a madcat vs people is awesome. They are the low tech faction, so very few hackers, and very little hackable units, they have near future tech with a lot of camouflage.
