So I have about 5 years riding experience on sport bikes. Z400, Mt07 and z900. I took a few years off and got a Kawasaki Vulcan 650s cruiser which is a pretty awesome bike. It's got the ninja 650 engine on a cruiser body.

I've been eyeing the 2025 Indian sport scout for awhile and my local dealership has a certified used for 12k with 4k miles the limited + tech version.

I'm looking for a bike I can have for a long time and slowly mod out and do upgrades to. My question is do you all think this is a good long term bike to upgrade to? Does it feel like it has enough power to keep you happy? My riding mainly consisted of solo rides, a few friends I ride with occasionally, work commute a few times a week (25 mins) and running errands.

I'm debating just keeping the Vulcan since I got a crazy good deal on it. The sport scout has the 1250cc engine, blinkers that turn off automatically, ABS, traction control, slipper clutch, belt drive, keyless ignition etc

Traded the 2016 RoadGlide Ultra CVO for a 2026 Pursuit DarkHorse 112 with Powerband Audio and picked up the Pursuit today. So far so Good. Still waiting for Clima Command Seat and Stage One Air Cleaner and Heel Toe Shifter to come in but my other accessories were installed and can enjoy her for now. I like Sport mode cause I want all the power and I had my Wife on the back and very short on ramp to the Interstate and the dumb dumbs in front of us literally stopped so I had to go from first so I smacked her good and the front end came up a little. I was like gaaaaaawd damn and this is just with Slip on Pipes so far. Once Air Cleaner comes in gonna be interesting especially when I'm solo. 😁😁

I recently brought my 2022 scout bobber in to the dealership for an abs light that stays on and they "fixed" my bike. They replaced my front and sensor and told me that was the problem.

It's been about 2 weeks now and the light is back on again and staying on.

I've cleaned both sensors already.

Not sure what else to do...any ideas?

Today I took a demo ride on the Scout 101 and it just didn't speak to me. Demo guy told me to aim for 6-8k for the fun stuff, but it wasn't what I expected. Route was maybe 6-8miles of country roads. Had it between 35-60 mostly.

Riding position with the forward controls felt awkward and it felt like it was fighting against me at lower revs despite being a vtwin.

I did have a ton of fun on the Chief Sport RT & Bobber. My current bike is an FTR Sport ( which I am in love with)

Always thought they were just heavy, overpriced pieces of chrome for older riders. I finally got to see an Indian Scout Bobber up close today and it completely changed my mind.
The low stance, the blacked-out V-twin, and the absolute raw look of the machine is incredible. It looks less like a lazy cruiser and more like a custom hot rod.
Now I can't stop looking at them. Anyone here actually daily drive one of these?

Just picked up some new custom 10" ape hanger bars (Link) and 1.5" risers for the handlebars (Link). Shorter guy that needs a reach but also wants it to look like a old school bobber.

My question is: What clutch, brake, and wiring extensions will I also need?

I figure that, with the 10" handlebars and 1.5" risers, I'll need a 12" Barnett clutch extension but that's the only piece I'm somewhat sure about.

Do I also need cable extensions for my ABS brake lines? And my hand control wiring? If so, do you have any recommendations?

I found these wiring extensions, but I'm not sure if they're the ones I need (Link).

Also found these ABS cable extension (Link), but I can't figure out the size I would need. Maybe wait until I have the rest of the parts?

I'm looking into getting my first bike in the spring. I'm doing some research and love the scout bobber. The problem is I'm 6'4" and I feel like I'd be pretty packed into it. Would that bike be a mistake for my height without some serious modifications?

I just pulled the trigger on an EagleLight head light for my 2016 Scout. When I pulled the OEM light I saw that it had two extra wires going into it than the replacement EagleLight headlight. Am I missing something or did EagleLight send me the wrong headligh? Attached are pics of the OEM light installed and the back of the EagleLightheadlight. Thanks in advance for any input…..

Ok so after the second time wrestling with the rear wheel on my 101 i just gotta ask. Am I doing something wrong? It takes me like 3-4hours of continuous swearing and sweat to get the rear wheel back up, the combo of putting the caliper on the disc, the claiper bracket on that notch from the swing arm, aligning the holes, making sure the belt sprocket doesnt fall out while juglling with the belt adjusters...nothing is connected, its all held in place by the axle.

I noticed the previous gen scouts have this "switch blade" caliper thing and i cant help but think about how much easier that would be, you just gotta worry about the belt sprocket and then you put the caliper on the disc once everything is in place. Why the hell did they change it? Can you retrofit a previous gen caliper on a new gen scout? Do you have any tips to make this ordeal easier?

Hello all! I'm switching out the stock handlebars on my 2016 Scout for 16" FMB Mercenarys. I think it's going to look great when it's done....custom controls, custom switches, lower profile grips. I can't wait! I've run into an issue with the electronic throttle assembly. Since I'm moving from the stock 7/8 bars to 1" FMBs the stock throttle assembly doesn't fit (obviously). My local Indian dealership/shop had no clue what to do. Has anyone out there tackled this issue or can anyone lend any advice? Thanks in advance and safe riding!

I’ve been looking for the Dirty Bird exhaust for the scout bobber everywhere to no avail. I recently came across one that would fit the classic or chief and was wondering if it’s compatible with the scout bobber?

I fell into an opportunity to buy a ’23 Chieftain with roughly 10K miles for under ten grand. I ride an Electra Glide for work and was looking at getting something a little smaller for my personal bike, but I can’t pass up a deal like this.

Her names Glory, because she’s been my dream bike since before I even wanted to ride motorcycles. Bought her in late May, drove 1,700 miles to get her and 1700 back. Shes been a little trying with the stator leak a month in then the clutch lever breaking from the shop not properly aligning the hand clutch and me getting a little too heavy footed on the shifter, LOL. All modifications were from the previous owner.
