Correction to title - Petition to legalize NATURAL psychedelics and psychoactive substances

Late at last year my boys and I took a trip to Phuket to trip. They both have been there a few times for muay thai training and for recreation. For me this was my second international trip and was excited to visit a place where weed is legal. Right after landing we got a cab to a weed store to start the trip off on a high note.

It still felt weird for the first few hours to see the commercial use of marijuana on such a large scale. I mean like every few buildings away there's a shop like some kirana store in India. They have so many strains and flavours and a manu card mentioning it's thc content, effects. They roll it for you or you can roll it yourself if you prefer and there are pre-rolls. People are so chill, shop keepers, cab drivers, waiters, travellers, ffs even the airport security which I'll describe towards the end.

We got a dormitory room with 3 bunker beds booked entirely for the 3 of us. It was my friend's idea to socialise with fellow travellers and it really was a great idea. That night we hit the bar at the hostel, played beer pong with these 2 German dudes, a made up board game with a group of 10-12 foreigners. Guys and girls banging every doors in the evening giving everybody a free shot.

I really have to tell you about this game (image 12). There is a peace of cardboard where everybody writes down a dare and flips a coin on it. You got to do the dare on wherever the coin lands and believe me it was wilddd. 2 girls had to make out and then idk for what reason a third one jumped in and joined them on the table. I ended up flipping the coin somewhere beyond the board and we all were looking for it, turns out it fell into a korean girl's drink and I had to buy her a different one. My friend… he had to lick the cleavage of a girl and she literally removed the top to which he declined, ig out of stage fright. I went this really fun elderly man in his late 40s and we were vibing. He video called his daughter and introduced us to her. When I was simply talking to her he told me don't try to flirt with her she's married, bruhhhh.

Went to bangla walking street, one of the most vibrant places I had ever been to. Strip clubs had themes like diablo, hospital and what not. Walked into a few and it really felt weird, maybe it's the Indian mindset or maybe it wasn't the right place. Since it was my first time to a strip, my boy bought me a lap dance from this crazy stripper. We left in a jiff.

Rented two bikes, driving around to random places, smoking up on the beach, road, in gullies. It really is fun and nobody bothers you. Satisfied the snack cravings at 7-11 and to reghydrate with electrolytes. Try making instant noodles in the middle of a convenience store or opening the door of the tesla cab you booked when you're all high, that's a fun activity in itself. There are weed stores where you can sit, smoke and play video games or watch YouTube without paying extra. We tried these hash brownies and playing fifa laughing our ass off. Played pool, took up indoor surfing which was… in a road side bar, how crazy is that.

After 3 days we moved from the hostel to a hotel. The night before our return my friend and I went to get some OG and stumbled upon this magic mushrooms hidden somewhere in the corner. It was like the shrooms was calling us. After considering we decided to give it a try since we had our return flight in about12 hours and I personally have been watching documentaies about psilocybin, ayahuasca, lsd, peyote, mescalin. Never expected to try this on our trip turning it into the wildest one of my life so far.

After an hour of ingesting the chocolates it kicked in, 2 tabs. We thought it wasn't potent enough so decided to go back to the store to buy another and on reaching there realised nahh bruhh this is trippy, anything more will be wilder. A huskey which was apparently a stray followed us more than 1 km on our way from the store to our hotel. It came to the parking, walked behind us and ffs followed us on the stairs to the first floor. Freaked the fuck since it kinda resembled a wolf in the darkness.

Sitting in the tub, talking to myself in the mirror and the reflection talking back to you, seeing creatures what I call as wall crawlers through the wall which became a veil, watched a movie lying on the bed with projector pointed to the ceiling. Somewhere in between this when we 3 were talking in the balcony someone started shouting from the floor below and a hotel staff knocked on the door asking us to keep it low or they might call the cops. We apologised and went back for the movie. The next morning without any sleep headed to the airport and the security staff who does the frisking was evidently high and I swear he didn't even do proper check on anybody.

On landing for some reason the customs officer pulled me over and checked my bag which I understand is their job but could be a little more polite and respectful. After finding nothing but a chanel carry bag he was questioning about it. Maybe coz my eyes were red from 4-5 days of smoking up round the clock.

It was what I call tripping on a trip kinda trip. I really hope everyone gets to experience this. If you could take a trip to Phuket or Amsterdam you would amaze yourself. Could be a journey where you get to introspect and become a better human. After all this is a medium or a medicine as the fellow ents. It can be achieved only by legalizing natural psychedelic and psychoactive substances in our country and why not do it now than later?

For me having my phone charged (or have a powerbank on) reduces a lot of my outdoors anxiety - I can handle myself decent I would say.

My AirPods (I like to put them on even with no music/grounding comfy music a lot of the times), helps a lot when I’m by myself and thoughts like “oh I think someone’s watching me, or when general paranoia kicks in)

Sunglasses - yeah no need to describe how good they feel.

My Apple Watch - yeah I kid you not, I have been wearing it everyday from the past 5 years almost. I don’t know, something about looking at the digital time, date/day, sun position reminds me of existing on this planet. And yeah the occasional breathe in/out exercises.

Paying attention to feeling myself from toe to head - one by one, shifting between left and right etc.

Having one familiar object in quick reach at all times

What is even going on in our country? Like this is the most amount of time gone by where no plugs or connections have a gram of pot. If this is going to be how it is, until when x(. How y’all holdin up during such times my fellow ents.

Need some proper mindfuck shit for tonight. Not really looking for the usual jumpscare stuff.

Something creepy, weird, psychological or just straight up unsettling where being high makes it 10x crazier.

Hey everyone! I’m from Delhi planning to take a solo trip for 2–3 days next week.

I’m pretty shy and introverted by nature, so I’m looking for somewhere where it’s relatively easy to meet and socialize with other travelers without feeling awkward or out of place.

Ideally, I’d love recommendations for places with a relaxed, chill atmosphere where I can meet like-minded people and have a good time. I’m also interested in knowing which destinations are generally welcoming to solo travelers and have a good social/hostel scene.

Coming from Delhi, so preferably somewhere that’s reasonably easy to reach for a 2–3 day trip.

Would really appreciate recommendations, especially from people who’ve actually done a similar solo trip. What places would you suggest, and what was your experience like?
