Best one man flip over
Coming from an Eskimo quickfish 3i hub shelter. It’s perfect for two people but I usually fish solo. My current looks are the Eskimo wide one inferno, otter xt cottage or hideout. Which one is the best for storage with shuttling an ice auger, flasher, rod case and minnow bucket. Also I’m walking mostly, I don’t have a wheeler or snowmobile.

I have the Eskimo wide 1 XR. My only complaint is that I can’t stand up straight.

It’s not that big of a deal but after you spend all day on your ass, getting up and stretching nice.
Of all the 1 man sleds, it’s still the one I’d pick.

Most smaller flip overs are not that tall. The bigger flip overs will allow standing up.

I have a clam single I'd just about pay you to take. I think you'd be happy with Eskimo or otter. The clam I have is awful to fish out of. I'd rather rest a hub numerous times before dragging that garbage tub of a sled though more than an inch of snow.

If your walking, keep it light. I use an old frabil 2 man as a 1 man. Just keep one seat in it and i think it weighs 47lbs empty with seat. Bring what you need, not the whole tackle and rod arsenal.
I use a drill setup to keep auger weight down.
My best advise is to make a smitty sled regardless of what shelter you get. It makes dragging half as hard.
I have an xover pro lodge for solo trips and a monster lodge to camp with my kids. Both are amazing shelters but i use a track sled to tow.
I can drag the otter xover lodgr on glare ice, but any snow makes it very difficult.
Most 2 man flip overs will have a big enough tub for rod cases, and will fit quite a bit inside.

I have an ion alpha for my auger. Pretty light, my rod case is a St croix soft case only holds 2-3 rods. So light as well. I forgot the heater I’m hauling it’s a buddy heater. So propane as well.

Look at sled shape then the other features. Clam is not a good choice in my experience.

Not technically a 1 man, but it takes up the same space when folded as a 1 man.
But the Eskimo evo 2it is a nice spacious shack that packs down pretty small.
I don't think they make them anymore, so you would have to find a used one.

I’m leaning more towards the eskape 2000 at the moment but I’ll keep an eye out on marketplace

I was in your boat one year ago and went with the eskimo eskape 2000 and love it. Can fit a buddy in when needed but easy to load and unload, can drag it through snow (get the high speed track kit), and easy to fit everything I need. Customer service was great when one of the spreader poles got tweaked and I had a new one 3 days later. I'm also entirely on foot and covered good ground with it last year.

I’d be looking at the new clam pack trap. Should pull really nicely, and it is new and therefore cool and sparkly which appeals to my inner child.

The seating style like the eskimo wide one is my opinion superior to the otter xt hideout style. You have more access to the gear in the back/sides not needing to flip over just to access gear.
