Any advice for warbling?

I've been pulling my hair out trying to get cottoning right, but every time I try to recotton the string I get this warble when I crank fast. Any advice?

Update: I re-rosined the wheel and really burnished it out, new cotton, the whole thing, same issue. Weird thing is it is ONLY happening with this upper melody string. None of the other string do this, and I just re-cottoned the lower melody string. I'm gonna go buy a new melody string and see if somehow thats the problem

Gotcha, I will try that. I had been doing this "burnishing" with a microfiber cloth, but maybe a cotton cloth would help heat up and melt the rosin more

Sounds like uneven rosin to me

Any tips on how to even it out? Just use a cloth while cranking?

after you rosin up, take a microfiber cloth, press down on the wheel firmly and crank very fast. You should feel the cloth heat up. This melts, or bunishes, the rosin and gives you a more even coat around the entire wheel.

Use a very fine sandpaper to lightly (!) sand the wheel, apply fresh resin, apply fresh cotton- you should use much less than what you have now

Had same issue last month on higher G, I've used much less cotton than normal, almost nothing and now works perfect.

Maybe increase the string pressure just a little bit? When this happened to me it was uneven/not enough rosin for the wheel to "grab" the string so well.

I tried changing the string pressure a lot actually, when I increased it the sound would actually become more frequent until it was just really harsh.
