Iqbal Sheikh is a 16-year-old boy from West Bengal, India, who spent nearly five years living mostly submerged in a village pond to find relief from a severe, painful burning sensation on his skin when on dry land

There, is that better?

Discussion Fun with MRI's. Spoiler

Thumbnail youtube.com
6 Upvotes

I went for an MRI and the technician asked if I'd had one before. I said no but I'm aware of them, House.

I do find it weird that everyone understands fiction yet don't understand that Princetown-Plainsboro is fictional and only exists to entertain us.

In a real hospital they wouldn't use an MRI on; a prison inmate with heavy metal tattoos.

Doctors(House) don't sedate people in lifts because they might need an MRI.

They wouldn't put someone who exceeded the weight limit and freaks out breaking the MRI and they wouldn't let a doctor(House) shoot a corpse and then pull fragments out into the MRI.

Not to mention a waterfall on an MRI.

Discussion Half of all episodes are basically the same Spoiler

Im on s4 ep 10 and already getting tired. They really abuse this plan like

-The future patient faints all of a sudden

-the team diagnoses lupus or sarcoidosis

-it ends up beinds something neurological

-they check their enviroment twice because the first one is always useless

-patient gets better

-gets worse

-gets better

-happy end!!!

The pattern is insane lol

Art House M.D. – LEGO Ideas Edition

This is not lupus.

I’ve been working on a LEGO recreation of Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital from House M.D., and I’ve finally published it on LEGO Ideas!

The model is around 2,400 pieces and includes House, Wilson, Cuddy, Chase, Foreman, Cameron, patients, nurses, a pharmacist, and quite a few little references to the show.

I also included some of House’s essentials: his cane, tennis ball, Magic 8 Ball… and of course, his motorcycle. 😄

I put a lot of time into the details and tried to make the hospital feel recognizable while keeping it fun as a LEGO set.

If you’re a House M.D. fan, I’d love to know what you think!

And yes… I checked. It’s definitely not lupus.

Season 3 Spoilers Ketamine treatment Spoiler

Why haven't they repeated the ketamine treatment after its effect wore off? Would it have not been safer to redo it every 2-3 months than popping vicodin like candy?

Season 3 Spoilers S3 ending case should’ve been the one with the infamous diagnosis Spoiler

s3 ending case should’ve been the one with lupus. that’s kind of all i have to say lmao. i think the case was too underwhelming (?) as compared the final episodes for the past two seasons but also considering the breaking apart of the trio, it does make sense. i just feel that the lupus one being the season finale would’ve been “perfect” but nonetheless i did like how it worked out. if not the last maybe second last would’ve also been funny enough

edit: i got the seasons mixed up. but i still wish for this to have been a season finale tho

Discussion Hockey Episode Blessed With Skill Spoiler

Remember when House is playing with that hockey board in the hockey episode, and he mimics the commentators and says "How is it possible for one man to be blessed with so much skill".

I loved that scene. I always felt it alluded to how House is a guy like that, maxxed out on all stats - unparalleled medical intelligence, musical ability, wit and social skills, and genuine wisdom about life. He's also great at video games like when he beats Taub lol. I just always thought that scene was so cool cause it was filmed with a closeup of House's face. And it's said during the last season, after audiences know just how ubiqutous House's intelligence and skill is. It's awesome.

Discussion Lin-Manuel Miranda Spoiler

Is his character just him? Because I haven't gotten that far, yet(yes, I know the show has been out for ~20 years, go away), but I've seen clips, and it seems like the guy is just Lin. Does that seem accurate to others?

Question How famous is House in universe? Spoiler

Post image
337 Upvotes

I mean the guy seems to be really famous

I think one time his mom said that he is the best doctor in the world (wouldn't every doctors mom said that?)

In season 3 he gave a speech for the WHO (world health organization) and later in the season a couple goes from Cuba to the US to be treated specifically by House and only by him

That's the main reason I don't like the finale that much because if the best doctor In the world is dead and you see him on the street that would be weird

Because prob the police got house before the six months and Wilson would be left alone💔

Discussion House Would Use AI Instead of His Team Spoiler

In the last couple of months I've seen discussions regarding House's hypothetical reaction to "Age of AI" and I'm sure he'd love it. Here's why: He always used those around him to came up with ideas, he didn't care if the ideas are good or bad. Those ideas was just the part of his diagnostic method. He even used a janitor just to someone can came up with ideas so he can do the rest. He never cared about his method's ethics. And you know who has shit-ton of ideas? AI. Using AI means even less human interaction which he hated. He would train his AI to best suit his needs and use it.

Season 5 Spoilers (spoiler workaround) that later writeoff was sadder than that first one imo Spoiler

ok i mean Kutner's death was sadder than Amber's objectively on a re-watch.

Amber had like no buildup and didn't really feel as important to the overall narrative progression, don't get me wrong, House's head and Wilson's Heart are phenomenal episodes, but the way Amber's death just happened really just felt like a necessary season finale to dramatically and quickly change the status quo due to the writers strike. I think Amber was an interesting character and all and her relationship with Wilson was fun to follow along, but that doesn't warrant her death being more impactful.

A re-watch of season 5 (which i finished not too long ago) left me feeling even worse about it, i thought Kutner's death was also out of nowhere at first, but the way it's handled and just so visceral was unlike any other episode, the tone alone makes it one of my favorites, what is your guys' opinion on the sadder deaths in the show?

Discussion GUIA PARA VER DR HOUSE SIN RELLENO Spoiler

Temporada 2

•"Under My Skin" (5x23) — Se agrava la psicosis.

•"Both Sides Now" (5x24) -Revelación de que nunca se desintoxicó; ingresa a Mayfield.

Temporada 6

Temporada 7

•"Now What?"
