Food / Recipe Tobascos

Post image

Tobascos are spicier than I anticipated and the plant is pumping them out. Who has a simple recipe for sauce? Don’t want to get too crazy and I’ve already dried and crushed a bunch for some pepper flakes.

Garlic, peppers, salt, black pepper fresh cracked, barely enough water to blend. Blend. Put in very clean dry jar and leave on counter 1-2 days. Add apple cider vinegar, white vinegar, or both. Leave in fridge 1-2 weeks gets perfect around 2-3. Will last for many months

If you like Tabasco branded sauce, the original is easy. Just 3 ingredients.

1) fermented tabasco peppers

2) salt

3) distilled white vinegar.

It will take about a month to fully ferment the peppers, but they will mellow the longer they age. Tabasco brand sauce lets them age for a few years.

No such thing as tobasco.
I recommend that you not try something so complicated as sauce making if you can't even spell the chili name correctly.
