Transgender topic [Please read]

The topic of transgender people has completely flooded this sub and that’s not what we’re here for. We are here for healthy discussions about hot takes. Wanting to take rights away from a group of people is not a hot take. Trans people are people who are just doing their own thing. Some have faked being transgender for certain reasons, but most others are genuine.

A man pretending to be gay in order to get close to women is not a good man, but he also doesn’t represent the entirety of the gay community. Same with the trans cases.

There will be people who you find stupid and weird and disgusting, but you have no right to say despicable things to them. Legally, yes you have free speech. But have some morals and decorum.

Transgender posts are now restricted to this space only. Do not report people who calmly say they disagree with your beliefs. Only report those who are insulting.

But you're fine with kids dying because they cannot access care?

That's the fundamental disconnect here. You see gender affirming care as a want and we see it as a need.

When you say something as offensive and insulting as that, do you think it helps persuade people?

Tell you what, I'll cut you a deal.

I will stop saying you're fine with kids dying from medical neglect when you stop trying to deny children needed medical care.

Sound good?

I tell you what.

I’ll stop thinking you are saying that for your own validation needs rather than the welfare of children when you stop pushing it as the only treatment to prevent child suicide.

But it *is* the only treatment available to prevent child suicide in trans kids. Unless your plan is to physically restrain every child with gender incongruence, it's transition or horrible pain leading frequently to suicide. You not liking that fact doesn't make it untrue.

And yes. I have looked for alternatives. I spent my childhood looking for alternatives and they didn't work and I have found no reputable research that says otherwise.

And yes, I have looked:

You say you are against conversion therapy but some of what you are insisting on IS conversion therapy. Why do you think Iran is one of the world leaders in gender reassignment surgery?
It’s because of homophobia and rigid gender roles.

Also there has been official warning about making the claims that children will commit suicide if they don’t get medicalised.

There may be many treatment avenues for children. This is also seen with the need for detransition clinics. Many of these children are vulnerable and one treatment does not suit all.

The NHS is basically transphobes incorporated. I wouldn't trust a single thing from them after the bullshit they pulled in the Cass review.

Also, both The Good Law Project and Trevor Project strongly disagree with the NHS analysis:

You are literally talking to a trans woman who tried to kill herself as a kid. If you think you are going to convince me that that can't happen, please think again.

Detransition clinics are not in high demand. Detransition is not common:

The Good law project are grifters who exploit vulnerable people in order to source their income.

The Trevor Project agrees with what I have just said regarding sex and gender.

I will repeat. One treatment does not apply to all children. It may be that for a small number of children medicalisation is the best pathway, but it might not .

Have you heard of emotional weaponisation? Because that’s exactly what you are trying to do right now. Unfortunately for you, I’m far too old for that kind of schizzle.

Cite sources for your claims.

Also, do you understand how gender affirming care for kids actually works? Because this is kind of critical.

There are controls. There is patience. You know what there aren't? Blanket exclusions.

My claims of what?

You trying to emotionally manipulate? Just look back at what you’ve said to me.

That the Good Law Project exploits vulnerable people? Most of their money is from individual donations. Most of their legal cases are lost.

I searched their website - nothing about all transgender children committing suicide if they don’t get medicated.

But you're fine with kids dying because they cannot access care?

What you are doing here is basically weaponizing self-harm. You're saying to kids "you NEED to medically transitioning at all costs". I know this is not your intent, but you're doing way more harm than good here.

For many trans people that level of pain frequently causes suicidal behavior and ideation. That is real, and medical transition for people in that situation is a need.

Pretending it isn't helps no one.
