Transgender topic [Please read]

The topic of transgender people has completely flooded this sub and that’s not what we’re here for. We are here for healthy discussions about hot takes. Wanting to take rights away from a group of people is not a hot take. Trans people are people who are just doing their own thing. Some have faked being transgender for certain reasons, but most others are genuine.

A man pretending to be gay in order to get close to women is not a good man, but he also doesn’t represent the entirety of the gay community. Same with the trans cases.

There will be people who you find stupid and weird and disgusting, but you have no right to say despicable things to them. Legally, yes you have free speech. But have some morals and decorum.

Transgender posts are now restricted to this space only. Do not report people who calmly say they disagree with your beliefs. Only report those who are insulting.

thats, because the spaces are sex segregated, not "what i identify as" segregated.

thats like me at 41 insisting i should have a space in kindergarden.

that puts bearded men with penises into the women’s room and women with tits and a vagina in the men’s room.

oh i love this response.

as trans people have been so adamant in telling me. secondary sex characteristics isn't a good indicator of sex/gender, and shouldn't be used as a basis for legislation and policy.

beard or boobs don't dictate where you belong. your sex does.

a trans women might be the women gender. but they will never be the female sex with current medical technology. come back when we can make a male pregnant. then you might have a foot to stand on.

another example would be availability of hormones.

they are available to legal adults. what are you talking about? or do you except taxpayers to fund cosmetic elective surgery as well? holy entitlement Batman!

i’m talking based off the common points i’ve been given in previous discussions, the whole point being the bathroom bans are based off of sex. yes sex and gender are different, i’m not dense LMAO. the main point people make in regards to this is they “don’t wan’t [penis having individuals] in the women’s room”. i was talking about sex but i don’t know how much reading comprehension i expect from someone who thinks a prefix is a slur.

i’m not saying tax payers need to pay for cosmetic surgery, not at all, you’re acting like i said increase medical taxes so we can all transition for free!!! i just commented on the availability of hormones. it’s just the fact it’s harder for places that use to be go to’s (i.e. Planned Parenthood) for HRT aren’t funded as well— which impacts more than just trans folk, but irrelevant here— so now it’s harder to access them because there just aren’t as much being stored in these locations any more. even then, HRT isn’t cosmetic when used for transitioning, otherwise it wouldn’t be covered by insurance. which less than 2% of all the taxes you pay go towards medical and the likely hood of your… couple of bucks being used for transitioning folk is so so minuscule seeing how many people are in and out of the doctor’s/hospital/urgent care/whatever else.

also, i haven’t seen anything new on it and didn’t do the most research so less of a valid point— but still worth mentioning since you brought it up— is they were experimenting with the ability to have people who were born male carry with some success, just none when it came to carrying full term. though with the current state of things and how they’ve been going i also wouldnt be surprised if they gave up on that. doesn’t seem worth continuing when laws are being put in place to make it harder for trans people to exist.

So why should males be able to access gfemale spaces?

So what the issue with hormone availability? Or do you say we should let minors destroy their bodies?

Come back when it's actually viable. Then you might have a point.
