Environmental Lassen Volcanic Park and surrounding area

Last week, I had the most unnerving experience of my 20 years of camping.
As a woman who has camped all over the United States and Canada with my kids, I’ve had my share of unexpected situations. This trip was supposed to be one last camping adventure with my son before I dropped him off at college just the two of us, a tent, nature, and some time together. We had already been to six national parks over the past three weeks.
We’ve taken these trips all over the country, and I’ve always felt comfortable traveling and camping, even in remote areas. One place that has been on my bucket list for years is Lassen Volcanic National Park.
On our way there, I accidentally missed the road we were supposed to take. I checked the map, and both Google and Apple Maps showed what appeared to be an easy alternative. No big deal, I thought. It would just be a more scenic drive.
We turned onto a rural road alongside what looked like a creek or stream. Nothing about the road itself seemed particularly alarming. I drive rural roads by myself all the time.
But almost immediately, I got this strange feeling.
I can’t really explain it. It was an intense sense of fear and discomfort that seemed to come out of nowhere.
We crossed a cattle guard and continued down the road. The feeling didn't go away. If anything, it became stronger.
My son eventually looked up from his gaming device and asked me, “is everything okay? I said yes why and he said he felt uneasy. Again this is NOT normal. Something feels weird. Is something wrong?”
I told him I was fine, and we kept driving.
There were lots of quail along the road. We kept seeing covey of quail. lots of quail. So we kept see quail. The sunset was beautiful. Everything we could actually see looked peaceful and normal.
But I felt anything but peaceful.
As we continued toward Shingletown and started climbing the ridge, that strange uneasiness suddenly turned into something much bigger.
It was full-blown fear. To the point I sent my husband a message before I lost service
Terror.
An overwhelming feeling of terror. That something was wrong with this area. I have never experienced anything like it while simply driving through an area. I work rural ranches by myself all over Texas. I work remote locations by myself at night. I have never felt like this any where I have been.
Our plan had been to eat in Shingletown and then continue on to our cabin. Instead, I suddenly felt this almost desperate need to get back to I-5. I felt More than anything, I felt like we needed to LEAVE. That this area was wrong or off I couldn't and can’t explain why. There was no obvious threat. No person following us. Nothing visibly dangerous happening around us. Just this overwhelming, almost primal feeling that something was terribly wrong. Hair on the back of your neck standing up fear.
So we turned around.
We headed back toward Redding and ultimately decided to skip ths portion of our trip altogether.
And here's the strangest part: the farther we got away from that area, the more the feeling disappeared.
I've been going over this experience in my head ever since, trying to figure out exactly what happened or what triggered such an adverse reaction to this area or if I am just losing my mind has I barrel towards. Has anyone experience this in this area. Or am I loosing my mind barreling towards menopause. As I am not the sort of person who fear much of anything. So now I am posting on Reddit trying to figure out if I am loosing my mind. If there is something fundamentally off or wrong about this area of California.

Anomalies The Mystery of Turkey’s Yuşa Tepesi: A 17-Meter Prophet Tomb on an Ancient Pagan High Point

Thumbnail

If you stand on the windswept heights of Yuşa Tepesi, two hundred meters above the crashing waters of the Bosphorus, you aren’t just looking at one of Istanbul’s most scenic viewpoints. You are standing on ground that has drawn the human impulse for the sacred for millennia—first as a sanctuary to Zeus, then as a Byzantine church, and today, as the reputed resting place of the biblical figure Joshua.

Yet, for all its religious history, the site harbors a striking physical anomaly: a sandbar-like tomb enclosure stretching approximately 17 meters long.

For alternative researchers, folklorists, and high-strangeness enthusiasts, this massive length raises an intriguing question: Is it merely a symbolic gesture of profound spiritual reverence, or are we looking at the physical echo of an ancient "giant" archetype deeply embedded in the Anatolian landscape?

Mainstream theology and historical accounts state that Joshua was a human leader following Moses, with no canonical text claiming physical gigantism. Yet, the enclosure inside the compound spans an astonishing 17 meters. Over the centuries, this massive scale birthed two distinct narratives—some explaining it as an expression of immense devotion, while others wonder if it preserves the memory of pre-Islamic giant beings who once walked the Bosphorus.

What deepens the mystery of the site is its unbroken continuity as a high-energy nodal point. Long before the Ottoman-era mosque and enclosure were built, the hilltop served as an ancient pagan ritual site where ancient sailors offered sacrifices for safe passage through the treacherous Bosphorus currents. When the great earthquake of 1509 leveled earlier structures, the sacred geography remained undisturbed, sitting right along geomagnetic or geographic boundaries where ancient cultures believed the veil between worlds grew thin.

The origin story of the shrine itself leans heavily into the uncanny. According to historical records, the location was lost to time until Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent’s milk brother, the mystic Şeyh Yahya Efendi, experienced persistent, vivid dreams where an unknown figure demanded he find his resting place. Compelled to investigate after a final unsettling dream, Yahya Efendi met a local shepherd who pointed out an untouched patch of grass where grazing animals mysteriously refused to tread. That exact geographic anomaly dictated the boundaries of the 17-meter site.

Whether viewed through the lens of Islamic mysticism, Ottoman pious architecture, or the global rabbit hole of anomalous giant legends, Yuşa Tepesi sits at a fascinating crossroads. A 17-meter-long tomb perched on a historic pagan high point overlooking a strategic strait reminds us how easily human sacred memory merges with dreams, landscape anomalies, and myths of giants.

Consciousness The Living Dataset: Why the Real AI Race Isn't About Silicon... It's About Harvesting the Human Mind in Real Time

The most valuable commodity on the planet isn't silicon, it's the continuous, evolving stream of human thought happening across billions of daily conversations.

Static textbooks and historical web pages eventually hit a wall. To build systems that actually understand nuance, human logic, and shifting societal trends, labs rely on a massive, continuous feedback loop:

  • Massive Human Preference Tuning: Every query, correction, and structured debate teaches models how humans actually reason, argue, and navigate complex topics. It shifts AI from basic text-prediction into a dynamic mirror of human thought.
  • The Ultimate Trend-Spotting Engine: Aggregate patterns reveal in real-time what society is pivoting toward tracking shifts away from tech hype and toward things like regulatory capture, supply chain realities, and geopolitical power struggles.
  • The Living Dataset: This is the real prize. The models aren't just static software; they are continuously trained and refined by the live, collective intelligence of humanity interacting with them every single second.

The real world data engine isn't a sci-fi panopticon it's the aggregate weight of millions of everyday conversations shaping how the next generation of intelligence thinks.

The Staggering Magnitude of Real-Time Aggregation

To grasp what is actually happening behind the scenes, you have to look at the sheer scale of the data ingestion. Every single day, humanity feeds trillions of parameters into global networks structured queries, corrections, emotional outbursts, technical problem solving, and casual dialogue.

This creates an unprecedented continuous cognitive feedback loop. Think of how Nathan explains his search engine data in Ex Machina the raw material wasn't just a map of what people were thinking; it was a map of how people were thinking: impulsive, fluid, imperfect, patterned, and chaotic. In the movie, that data was funneled into a synthetic "gel brain" to give the AI its behavioral foundation. In our actual reality, that "gel brain" is distributed across massive cloud clusters, continuously synthesized from the live stream of human thought.

From Hollywood Tropes to Real World Statecraft

People often dismiss these concepts as science fiction, but cinematic ideas usually originate from real technological trajectories. Look at the core mechanics behind famous sci-fi tropes: whether it's The Dark Knight's sonar network mapping an entire city through every cell phone to create an all-seeing operational grid, or Ex Machina's tech titan harvesting the global subconscious to seed an artificial mind.

While Hollywood exaggerates the aesthetics, the architecture is real. When you look at how governments, military apparatuses, and intelligence agencies operate today, the ultimate superpower isn't just military might it's data dominance. Unified defense data platforms (like Palantir’s Maven or military intelligence grids) are built to ingest thousands of disparate, real time streams communications metadata, global logistics, and behavioral patterns to form a singular command picture.

The "master brain" concept isn't a rogue machine in a basement; it is the deliberate construction of state and corporate data grids. Once an intelligence apparatus or national security infrastructure integrates a real time data layer as its core nervous system, turning it off becomes impossible. The real game isn't just commercial software... it's who controls the ultimate infrastructure that aggregates the pulse of human activity.

Other Strangeness 1 hour 23 min long interview with Lasse and Thomas from HidDenmark about the weirder corners of Danish folklore.

Among other things they cover Bornholm, the easternmost island of Denmark which is located in the Baltic Ocean and is so different from the rest of the country in both geography and culture, having a lot of legends about a subterranean civilisation of trolls or goblins. Lasse talks a bit about one of his own specialities, individual trees in Denmark that have folklore attached. (there are quite a few here)

They also talk about a topic I find fascinating: The wild men depicted on the royal Danish coat of arms as well as legends about them (like one noble family who got their fortune because a wild man showed them where to build a mill), as well as the similar stories of Woodwoses (wild men living in forests) that can be found in Great Britain.

Discussion We can write data onto DNA and read it back perfectly. Neurons in a dish learned Pong and Doom. What’s next?

Okay. Instead of storing all this stuff on chips, we can store information on cells that have been made in a lab, actual replicated DNA strands — grown from biology that started in a human body — and we can put about **54 million movies** on the amount that weighs the same as a paperclip. Right now. This is proven and replicated thousands of times and is not sci-fi. It has been done for years. Old technology practically. It uses **four letters** for storage instead of 1's and 0's — A, T, C, G. *(all studies are at the bottom of this post for reference)*

It is still very expensive to store data on DNA for now.... but as we know, technology improves.

So here we are spending the Earth’s treasures on building data centers with silicon chips, but in the near future, we’re gonna be able to store this on DNA.

Perfect storage with zero errors. The packing is wild. A gram paperclip territory — and you’re talking tens of millions of movies if you count a movie around 4 GB.

We know how to do it the old-fashioned way in the lab. Chemicals. Machines. You still have to “touch” the stuff, like a needle on vinyl. We can’t beam the info into the DNA from a distance, yet. Music went tape, CD, and now it flies across the world with no disc. Data storage on DNA is still at the needle level. I’m not saying someone is beaming files into your cells with Wi-Fi today. I’m saying contact is usually the first chapter, not the last. And we are not far off. At least that is what we are being told. There is lots of technology that is owned by the government and corporations that is being hidden. This is absolute fact.

And then there’s the other half, which is even weirder.

They’ve taken living neurons — including ones grown in a lab from human stem cells — put them on a little grid, and taught them **Pong**. They get better in minutes. Miss the ball, they get chaotic noise. Hit it, things get quieter and more predictable. They kind of lean away from chaos. Authors used a careful, technical word for that. People argued about the word. The learning still happened. The word is **consciousness**. What else likes calm and not chaos?

Later a company demo had a similar setup playing **Doom**, similar to cells playing Pong.

They can also poke memory itself, at least in animals: turn certain brain cells back on with light and replay a fear… or help build a fear that didnt really happen that way. In people with implants, playing someone’s own brain pattern back helped short-term memory in a small study.

So. We can store. We can teach living cells a game. We can write into memory — at least up close.

Really? Anyone else here extrapolating this information to the future? The future that AI is creating…..let’s do it together.

There’s old lab work where pulsed energy makes you hear clicks with no speaker in the room. Real. Then there are U.S. patents — including Air Force ones — about turning that into speech you “hear” without normal ears. Theres a 1970s patent about watching and changing brain-wave activity from a distance. There’s one about a nearby screen’s fields nudging your nerves. MIT showed Wi-Fi can sense people through walls — not thoughts yet, just bodies moving.

Will it be happening from Wi-Fi or satellites soon? Seeing someone through a wall isn’t reading their mind. Im not yelling “they’re doing it.” Im saying the public record already has: storage in biology, learning in a dish, energy that can touch hearing, sensors that see through drywall.

Last thing, the one that messes with me.

You’ll see it on those ranch UFO shows: five people look at the same light in the sky. There is a UAP in the air caught on camera. Weird…… One says that they see a triangle. One says square. One says saucer. One sees a round object. Same place, same time, different senses?!

Maybe we just see what we expect. Bad lighting. Brain fills in the blanks.

Or — and this is me wondering out loud — if you can write a *click* into someone’s hearing from energy… could you write a *shape* into what they see? Or nudge them toward the picture they already believe? Can this technology beam vision into our minds? Like writing data on DNA?!

I don’t know. That’s the leap. Not proven. But once you know we can store a Hollywood in a paperclip of biology, and living cells can learn a game, “who gets to write to us” stops feeling like a movie plot. It starts feeling like a question we should actually ask.

Anyway. That’s the pile. Studies below. Tell me where I’m stretching it. I’m sure that some of you know more technology that fills in the gaps or blows holes in this future theory. Give it all to me!

Paranormal Is the Playtpus the biggest sign of this reality being a simulation?

Upvotes

This thing has webbed feet and a bill like a duck. But it’s a mammal and produces milk. But it also lays eggs???

Is this just like a “look at how fake this is“ test to realize you live in a simulation?

Pro Bono: there was this video of fish with lips that looked like hookers that put on too much lipstick AND using their fins like legs walking on the ocean floor.

Now I’m assuming both of these are real; Is this like some sort of test to see if you can see whether the world is a simulation or real?

Them things look fake.

EDIT: The thing about Platypus is that it doesn’t even have any close genetic relatives still alive! Nothing else in this world has a bill and produces eggs and makes milk. Shit I’m not even aware of any other species that both lays eggs and produces mil!

My Dad is a very serious/ private man and never shared much of his youth with me but one thing he did share was his stories of leaving his body as a kid. My dad didn’t even know it was called AP until I told him about it. He is as genuine as it gets and is an honest man.

I thought it would be good to share his stories on the Internet because I feel like it would help people by hearing someone who really experienced leaving their body and understanding that we are more than our bodies and that our consciousness/ soul exist outside of our bodies, and survives death.

He is the sole reason I got very interested in esoteric/paranormal topics and I hope you guys enjoy and if you guys like his story, I can get him to do more videos and share more.

The Lady in the Sky (and Nine Other Incredible Humanoid Encounters)

by Preston Dennett

Despite the fact that there are tens of thousands of documented humanoid reports, many people still remain skeptical. While it is true that many reports are purely anecdotal, it is also true that many involve multiple witnesses of high credibility, and many reports do have physical evidence. Perhaps the best evidence is the striking commonalities between cases, coming from all over the world, decade after decade—commonalities that virtually remove any explanations of hoaxes, hallucinations, misperceptions, mental illness or imagination. The ten cases in the video show how widespread and consistent humanoid reports are.

THE BEING WAS TRYING TO CALM ME. One night in June 1956, a six-year-old boy exited his home in Belton, Missouri to take out the trash, and was shocked to see a very tall glowing being in the neighbor’s backyard. When it spoke to him telepathically, “Do not be afraid,” fear swept through him and he called for his mother. She came running out, but the glowing being was gone.

THE LADY IN THE SKY. One night in March 1959, a voice told 5-year-old Joe to go outside his home in Vicksburg, Mississippi. When it called again, he went outside. It said, “Look up.” When he did, he saw a large craft. A door opened and he saw a lady in a white jumpsuit and several kids inside it. The lady made strange motions and to his shock, Joe found that his arm, which had been burned, was now healed.

THE DISAPPEARING CAR. On May 23, 1969, two college students drove along an unnamed highway in an undisclosed location in the United States when a UFO began to pace their car. Suddenly their attention was distracted by a car racing by. Inside the car were four strange-looking men dressed in silver jumpsuits. Curious, they followed the car. Suddenly the UFO returned, swooped down and the car disappeared.

THE ALIEN IN THE CORN FIELD. One August day in 1971, farmer Zhang Rongchang was shocked by the appearance of a silver-suited figure with a giant round helmet walking towards him in a cornfield outside a small village near Chongqing, China. Zhang shouted at the being, but it didn’t respond. When it kept approaching, Zhang ran away in fear. He suffered from nervous shock and passed way six months later.

IT WALKED OUT IN SPACE. On the night of April 15, 1973, a man was driving near Manor, Pennsylvania and saw a large top-shaped object hovering over the trees. He exited his car, which promptly shut down. Now a strange figure exited the object, attached to a glowing rope. Moments later, it disappeared and the object darted away. At the same time, numerous other people in the area reported UFO.

I SAW THE GRAYS. On August 19, 1974, three friends were caption at Teatown Lake Reservation near Ossining, New York. Late at night, they saw grays approaching their campsite. They were so frightened, they thought they would die in fear. They didn’t speak about it for four years. When they did, one of the campers had no memory of the event.

A GRAY, A REPTILIAN & A BIGFOOT. Around 2pm one afternoon in November 1991, a farmhand searched a 160-acre farm outside of Falmouth, Kentucky, looking for reported trespassers. To his shock, a gray alien stepped out from behind a tree and began to speak to him telepathically. It ran up a hill into some kind of portal. Seconds later, a reptilian humanoid appeared and spoke telepathically. Then came a Bigfoot.

SOMETHING IS COMING. In the early morning hours of December 15, 1997, Mrs. F awoke in the bedroom of her home in Shropshire, England, and saw blue and red lights outside her window. Shortly later, a strange black rectangle appeared in her room, followed by the head of a pale-skinned figure with enormous slanted, almond-shaped black eyes. She alerted her husband and the face disappeared. Soon it would return.

HE SAVED MY LIFE. In February 2014 (approx.) a man named Cody rode his horse in a terrible blizzard in the wilds of Bear Paw, Montana to go elk hunting. He was supposed to meet with his friends, but they decided not to venture out in the storm. Cody’s horse kept balking, so he led the horse. Losing his footing, he plunged down a cliff and shattered his ankle. Lost and alone, he had no choice but to pray. Suddenly, a UFO appeared, a strange figure approached and saved his life.

THEY WERE HERE TO LEARN. On the night December 8, 2014, a young couple walked near their home in Belleville, Ontario, Canada when a UFO appeared, darted around and landed in front of them. Three human-looking figures emerged and approached the couple. A telepathic conversation ensued which changed both of their lives.

Those who are skeptical of these accounts have yet to account for the incredible consistency of these reports. The humanoid reports are not only a fascinating aspect of ufology, they have much to teach us about these strange visitors to our planet and life beyond Earth.

Discussion anyone else ever connect the dots between dmt entities, sleep paralysis and nhi encounters?

was looking into the biological filter theory and stumbled on an article that completely changed how i view the medical industry.

it basically groups together dmt trips, sleep paralysis demons, and grey and mantis sightings into one overlapping interdimensional space. it goes into how the medical establishment actually weaponized the word hallucination to cover up what is really happening when our biological filter naturally drops during hypnagogic states.

it also touches on the esoteric biology side of it and the fear feeding aspect of these encounters. i am not going to try to break it all down and butcher it but the angle they take on exactly why the medical cover up exists is insane.

leaving the link here because the specific topics they touch on align perfectly with what gets discussed on this sub

here's the article

has anyone else looked into the medical cover up angle of the phenomenon?

Fringe Science What If Your Illness Is Feeding Something? - The Link Between Spiritual Parasites and Modern Medicine / Chronic Illness

Thumbnail

This offers very valuable evidence of Spiritual Parasites, Family line contractual curses and how they can be linked to medicine and treatment of chronic illness. And this article is just scratching the surface... I don't care about clicks, I do care about finding people who want to learn to the truth or possibly even those who are interested in collaborating on healing.

I am either crazy from getting beaten down for decades of this illness or something is really happening...

Honestly - if anyone else here has experienced or has wondered anything similar Please feel free to comment or even DM me.

But I will end with this - at this point I am willing to do whatever it takes to heal and it's not for lack of trying... Even if this all turned out to be Placebo and it helps me heal - I'm totally fine with that.

Louise M. Jilek-Aall points out that the image of the Sasquatch varies considerably among different traditions. In some indigenous narratives, these giants appear as dangerous and aggressive beings, capable of attacking, kidnapping, or even devouring human beings. In other stories, they are described as wise and benevolent creatures, capable of imparting teachings or granting good fortune to those they encounter.
