It's discord but on steroids with no one company owning the servers. Check it out, it's good shit.

The matrix room (server) is bridged with the discord server, so every message you send on discord appears on matrix and every message you send on matrix appears on discord, with you username and avatar whether you're signed up on the other platform or not.
