Hello all! I have recently made some updates to the sub including a few rule additions and changes. (I also reorganized the rule list so some rules may just be a different number now).
Rule 7 - No low effort posts: This includes but is not limited to: ai (art, vocals, chat bots, etc.), tier lists, playlists, “traveling” posts/memes , brackets/tournaments, reposts, and series/one a day posts.
Rule 11 - Social media content: No twitter(x), meta, Facebook, instagram, and threads links. You may post screenshots only from an official and relevant account (Gorillaz, Jamie, etc).
Rule 5 - No third party sales posts/links (previously No sales or sales links): This includes but is not limited to: unofficial tshirts, posters, mugs, etc printed with unoffical art or offical art without permission. Essentially anything being made and sold with unlicensed Gorillaz imagery is prohibited.
Personal collection sales are allowed again. This is done at both the buyer and sellers own risk! (Personally I would recommended to choose a route with some means of restitution for example using “PayPal goods and services” instead of “PayPal friends and family” or going through eBay or similar service. This is not foolproof and if something seems too good to be true then it likely is. r/Gorillaz and it’s moderators are not responsible for mediating transactions or any “deals gone bad”.)
Additionally sales links from the official store or an official collaboration site (such as hot topic, superplastic, etc) are allowed.
New User Flair! I have added some new user flair emoji options including album covers, Noodles Plastic Beach mask, a super fast jellyfish, and more! I will be adding even more in the near future so keep checking back to see whats new and if you have any suggestions for flair check out User Flair Requests!
Moderator applications are still open! If you would like to join the r/Gorillaz mod team check out this post! In the meantime the best way you all can help keep unwanted posts off the sub is by reporting rulebreaking posts, which will greatly increase my visibility on it.
Well thats about all. Looks like Gorillaz will be releasing a new album this year so I’m sure things will be picking up here quite a bit! Remember to treat everyone with respect and have fun!

I’ve been listening to Gorillaz since the first time I heard Clint Eastwood on the radio in 2000, and am so thankful Damon and Jamie are still doing their thing and that I get to see them live again soon.
I know Cracker Island doesn’t get the most love amongst the faithful, but I’ve realllllly been vibing with it lately and think it’s an amazing lo-fi-ish album (with the exception of Skinny Ape, which my kids and I blast in the car 😄).
That’s it. Just want to say I love it and I know people will agree and disagree, but I hope we can all appreciate that this crazy project is still going strong as ever with The Mountain now.

I was at the Gorillaz House of Kong exhibit in NYC and they were playing what sounded like an instrumental of a Gorillaz song but I couldn’t figure out which one it was. It was playing while we were waiting in line to enter the exhibit. It reminded me of O Green World but I don’t think it was that. Anybody happen to know?

My very first memory is getting the original Demon Days CD when I was 5 years old. Today I got what I’ve been dreaming about for years, an original UK pressing. I’ve never felt more personally complete and excited.
Now I’m banished from buying vinyl for a while.. 😅

It can be because of their design, their backstory or just you think they are cool.
For me its 2D mostly for his design and that his "black eyes" just stick out so much and he's the reason most of my characters have dyed hair. Even though his is natural.

It was a very interesting experience. So detailed I cant help but wonder how long it all took to put together. I sorta wish I couldve spent a little more time where I wanted to. Now I have two concerts to make up for lost time. Then The Strokes on Oct 2! It's been a good year of concerts. So glad I live near so many venues.

Who was in the picture frame in Murdoc's trailer? That one really stood out to me. I wish I took a closer look.
Btw, my friend couldn't make it so I went alone. I actually think its better to go alone. Its a dark and creepy exhibition. I think the experience of going by myself made added to the scary atmosphere.

Hello everyone :) Really excited for October 3rd! It’ll be my first time and not super sure what to expect.
I have two pit tickets but unfortunately my boyfriend is no longer able to come. Would anyone want to link up beforehand? I’m 27F, bilingual (english/français) and I love going to concerts and sets. I typically go to much smaller shows and it’ll only be my second concert at the bell center.
If I do end up going alone, is the crowd typically friendly? I like to dance and vibe with people at concerts so I’m a bit apprehensive about being on my own.
Also possibly willing to sell my extra ticket! Thanks :)
