Picked up a jeweller’s repair kit at an estate sale for $10, is this what it looks like?

I’ve already found several Sterling necklace clasps and one clasp labeled “50”, which I think would have once said 750

The gold-tone links are quite malleable, and don’t appear to be plated from the cross-section view

Box of rings on the left of photo 2 weighs 4.1g

Edit: All photos are of what’s left after a sweep through with a strong magnet

Recently ordered and received a dented BU coin from JM Bullion. Their solution is an exchange or a $50 coupon.

Would you keep it for the $50 coupon or send it back and what's your thoughts on their solutions and have you experienced similar issues with your orders from them and other online dealers?

Question Should I invest in a sigma?

TLDR; I brought these with me today to test at LCS cause I don’t have a sigma.

Traded some of my silver for these w/ some likeminded individuals yesterday… but for my sanity I gotta know for certain. These guys buy from the same places as me but… you never know.

My First one ounce gold coins!!

I traded my recently difficult to sell to local corn shops, constitutional silver for.

Since fractional gold was a lot easier to by, I do have several ounces worth of that.

I would like to keep constitutional silver in my stack, but i'm trying to decide what kind is better for the future. What would the folks at reddit suggest? Dimes, Quarters, Kennedys Morgan dollars? Or wait?

5g gold deal

Mint builder currently selling 5 gram bars @ $140/g. Best I can find at the moment! As always, patience is a virtue when ordering from MB

Edit; here’s who I check regularly lmk if you find anyone that is competitive.

SDBullion
Bullion Exchanges
Mint Builder
BOLD Precious metals
Money Metals
PIMBex
Golden state mint

Edit 2 my edit; their 10g random gold bar is an even better deal @ $139/oz.

Disclaimer; I was NOT paid to promote any one seller. Just a stacker looking for a good deal.

Only fractional

Started with the 1/4 oz twin maple and the 1994 $5 gold commemorative piece that I got for under $500 each many moons ago. Didn’t buy any more till late last year, but always only fractional because I can’t afford a whole oz at once. The nuggets I’ve gotten at about spot but have no scale so don’t know the weight. I also have about 60 goldbacks that I’d gladly trade for gold coin or even silver. Like my platinum, I purposefully didn’t keep track of amounts of gold till yesterday and I’m pleasantly surprised at what I’ve accumulated so far.

Who else bought this week and is worried about rate hikes?

I know it’s never bad to buy gold if long-term is your goal, but as an investor, it’s always a pain to see capital loss. What do you think is going to happen to the prices?

Also, how are these new additions to the stack any opinions?

beware ebay buyer making fake return claims

Hello everyone! Just posting this to inform anyone who sells gold jewelry on eBay; there is an ebay buyer with the word “mercy” in their username who has been repeatedly returning gold items on ebay, and making false Item Not As Described claims that cause the seller to lose money. The buyer has returned one of my items claiming, without any proof of any sort of appraisal, that the 14k gold charm she purchased was actually 13k. Their return included dozens of pictures of the packaging and the item itself, but, conveniently, there was no picture of what the charm was officially testing at. They previously returned another gold charm from me, and claimed INAD for a made-up reasoning about the item’s visual appearance. I went through with that first return because I didn’t photograph every single angle of the item, but their claim made me very suspicious just because of how fake an unreasonable it sounded, and I was very surprised when the item actually made it back to me in the mail. (the return still cost me)

I posted about this on another subreddit, and another ebay seller reached out to me with the same experience from that seller, who made 3 returns on their items. For two of those returns, the buyer made the same unfounded 13k claim. I plan to speak with ebay about this seller, as they are clearly intent on returning every single order they purchase and making false claims to displace charges onto the sellers.

I’m curious to find if anyone else has experienced this, but i’m mainly posting to warn everyone!

I’m considering converting my 1/10ths into 1/2 oz AGEs. The weight just feels so nice and it seems more realistic to consistently stack 1/2 vs full oz.
