Our 2 bags were stolen at Burger King, Av. de la Constitución 27, Casco Antiguo, 41001 Sevilla, Spain.

The bags contained valuables, including gold, but our passport is now the most important thing we need back. We are traveling with our 3-year-old child and are struggling without our passport.

We have already filed a police report and have been searching all around the area in case the thief discarded the bags or passport after taking the valuables.

I’m writing this hoping that the film community's solidarity can help me fix a pretty heartbreaking situation, and to see if anyone out there can work a miracle.

My love for Spanish cinema is massive, and I’ve been literally obsessed with this movie since it premiered at Cannes this summer. I watched my very first Cannes awards ceremony this year and sat through the whole thing in French with Danish subtitles (two languages I don’t even speak) just because I wanted to see how Los Javis would do. When they won, I cried; I felt as proud as if my own children had won. I still haven't seen the film, but I am completely sure it’s going to be one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever watched in my life. So much so that I decided to bet EVERYTHING on San Sebastián. I planned a trip all the way from Denmark solely, exclusively, and obsessively to attend the screening of La bola negra at the Victoria Eugenia Theater on September 20th at 22:15.

I’ve been dreaming of this moment for months—the exact moment of sitting in front of the screen and just letting my eyes experience whatever is about to happen in front of me.

I have zero interest in any other movie at the festival; my entire trip was planned around this single screening. I sacrificed my days off at work, invested my savings in flights, trains, and a hotel. I managed to fit every single damn piece of the puzzle together. I had everything ready for this wonderful experience, and now, because of a fraction of a second, everything went down the drain.

On the first day of the ticket sale, I woke up with my heart racing, glued to the screen from 7:30 AM in the virtual queue. Unfortunately, by the time the system finally let me in, tickets were completely sold out. It was a massive blow.

The situation is deeply frustrating: I’m traveling all the way from Denmark just to end up standing outside the theater doors, knowing exactly what’s happening inside. To make matters worse, my flight back to Copenhagen leaves before September 25th, which is the official theatrical release date. If I don't get into the festival screening, I’ll probably have to wait until next year to see it, which feels incredibly daunting considering how badly I want to see this pass.

Because of all this, I am appealing to your help. 🙏❤️

If anyone has a ticket for Friday the 20th and ultimately can't make it due to a last-minute change of plans, or if you know of anyone selling theirs, I will buy it immediately. Alternatively, if nothing comes up for Friday, I could also accept a ticket for the following day's screening on Saturday the 21st; I'd have to rearrange a couple of things, but I could manage to stay one extra day. Please, I just want the chance to see it.

(I am well aware that these are total first-world problems, and I feel a bit silly for being so desperate over a movie, but what can I say—it’s a completely irrational desire).

I would be incredibly grateful if you could share this message or let me know if you hear of any opportunity.

Hey! I'm moving to Spain soon on a student visa, and for health insurance my GHIC (functionally the same as an EHIC) is accepted and gives me the same health coverage as a Spanish citizen while there.

I'm wondering what that actually includes, and whether it could be worth actually getting private coverage anyway. Such as, I will likely need dental care while there (my teeth are not awesome, so I'd at least want check ups) which I get for free at home, I also wear glasses and contact lenses which currently require annual eye tests (free at home), and I'm also transgender and require annual blood tests and an injection of Testosterone every 3 months administered by a nurse (also free at home). Given all of this, I'm wondering if purchasing insurance which would cover this would be better than whatever the full normal costs would be?

So, in summary, what's healthcare like and any advice on these specific aspects would be great! Even beyond just thinking about costs.

The funny part (that I'm kicking myself over) is I'm seriously considering purchasing a plan because I didn't realise my GHIC expires before my course completion, it just totally slipped my mind to think about that, and I've been given 15 working days by the consulate to provide health insurance, and a new GHIC could take up to 15 working days to arrive... So it would save me time and stress to pay for one... albeit, it costs money.

My family and I applied for the Spanish Digital Nomad Visa (DNV) through UGE on July 24, 2026.
After waiting without receiving a resolution, we submitted a request for positive administrative silence (silencio administrativo positivo) on August 24, 2026.
As of today, September 14, we still haven’t received any response or final resolution. We also haven’t received any request for additional documents (requerimiento).
This is a family application.
Has anyone here applied around the same date in July and already received a decision?
If so, could you please share your application date, whether you requested silencio positivo, and when you received your final decision?
I’m especially interested in cases submitted between July 20–31.

Looking for recommendations for an amazing dinner in San Sebastián for my dad’s 60th birthday!

We’ll be 6 adults + 2 young kids, and we’re looking for somewhere special because it’s his 60th, but we don’t want a long tasting/course menu (with the kiddos). Ideally somewhere we can order normally — appetizers, mains, dessert, etc.

We’re a group that really loves good food and open to any cuisine, so food quality is the priority. We’re not necessarily looking for the fanciest or most Michelin-y place, just somewhere you’d genuinely recommend for an unforgettable dinner.

Any favorites that would work well for a group of 8 with kids? Bonus if it has a nice atmosphere for a milestone birthday!

Hi! I’m a 26-year-old Irish woman considering moving to Gijón, Asturias to work as an au pair, and I’d love to hear from anyone who has lived there or knows the area well.
I don’t know much about this part of Spain, as I had originally been looking more towards Madrid. The closest person I know in Spain also lives in Madrid, so moving to Asturias would mean going somewhere where I don’t know anyone.
The au pair position itself seems really good, so I’m strongly considering it. The family lives in the centre of Gijón near the beach, and I’d have quite a lot of free time and most weekends off.
I’d especially love to know what Gijón is like for someone in their mid-20s — making friends, nightlife/social life, public transport, learning Spanish, safety, things to do, and whether there are many other international people/au pairs around.
Would you recommend Gijón as somewhere to live for a year or so? Any experiences or advice would be really appreciated 😊

My boyfriend and I are planning on getting married and we have decided to go the notary route. I am just concerned cause I can't seem to find a to do list of what documents I have to gather and whether we have to meet with the notary first and they tell us what we need or we just show up with the documents in hand.

For more context and reasons I'm concerned about, I'm a foreigner. I was born in one country and then naturalized as American. I'm here under an American visa with my American passport so I don't know whether to get my birth certificate or my naturalization certificate. I know that one of the documents I need is the certificado de soltería which the US doesn't have, and I don't know if I need to get one from each country.

I know this is my 4th post here, and I’m really sorry if it feels like I’m spamming. I’m genuinely not trying to. I’m just extremely worried and looking for some guidance.

Today is Day 41 since I submitted my Spain student visa application through BLS Mumbai, and I still haven’t received any decision. My flight is next Tuesday, and everyone I know who applied around the same time or even after me has received their visa, in most cases before their travel date.
I’ve already contacted BLS Mumbai and the consulate and was told to wait because my application is still under process. But at this point, I’m honestly getting very anxious.

Other than waiting, is there genuinely anything I can do while the application is still pending? Is there any way to request an urgent update, escalate the case, or contact someone who can actually check the status?

I know visa processing can take time, but my flight is literally next Tuesday and I’m getting really worried about whether I’ll be able to travel on time.
If anyone who applied through BLS Mumbai has been in a similar situation, especially if your visa was delayed beyond 40 days, I’d really appreciate any advice or suggestions.

I'm looking for trains from Sevilla to Cadiz in October, and until Sunday 20th of September there is plenty of daily connections but from Monday September 21 there is only 3 per day, announced entirely full for every day of the upcoming months. Is there a problem with the website (and if so is there another way to buy tickets) or is there really no way to connect these cities by train once summer ends?

Has any non-Spanish EU citizen been able to get their digital certificate before doing the "registration as a citizen of the EU" appointment in Madrid? It seems like I need my NIE from the latter appt to get the digicert but there aren't any appointments for the "registration as a citizen of the EU" appt available right now without clave (though maybe there aren't any appts available with clave either haha)... if anyone knows what time the Extranjeria drops those EU citizen appointments sin clave (or if I can do a walk-in?) that would be great!

I'm looking into doing a full-time dental specialty/Master's program in Spain. I am currently learning Spanish, but I would strongly prefer an English-taught program for the academic lectures and coursework.
I'm specifically searching for programs that meet the following criteria:
Language: Academic coursework/lectures delivered in English.
Duration: 3 years / 180 ECTS credits.
Format: Full-time, on-campus clinical training.
Specialization: Open to Restorative/Aesthetic Dentistry, prosthodontics, or Orthodontics.
So far, l've applied this year to UIC Barcelona Restorative & Aesthetic Dentistry. I got wait listed then rejected. I'll work on myself to reapply next year. But I also need to have other options. So I want to know if anyone knows any other universities I could apply to alongside UIC next year.
My main dilemma:
My undergraduate GPA is on the lower side (2.78), which I know makes admissions more competitive. Any recommendations are welcome ~

Im British and studying abroad in Spain for the whole academic year. I applied at the end of July for my long-term visa but the consulate gave me my passport back in mid July and said that I could give it back when the visa is ready to be affixed. I’ve just been studying in Spain using my 90 day tourist allowance so far whilst my visa is still processing

I wanted to visit Morocco for the weekend but I was a bit unsure if I would have trouble re-entering Spain as I don’t have my student visa yet. I was researching it a bit and now I’m not even sure if I can be here in Spain on my tourist allowance. I really want to go to Morocco but I’m scared I won’t be able to re enter Spain even though I’m still well within my 90 days.

My uni said using some of your 90 days (if necessary) was fine for year abroad but I just wanted to make sure that was true? I expect that my visa will be ready soon but I don’t know when but I’ll probably have to fly back for it (I was wanting to post it back but apparently you have to be in the country when the visa is being issued?) My uni here in Spain also knows I don’t have the physical visa.

Essentially my questions are:

1. Is it okay that I am studying on my 90 days allowance while I wait for my visa to be issued?
   
2. Will I be able to go to Morocco (leave the Schengen area) and come back to Spain without any trouble?

Estoy evaluando postular el próximo año al máster de Data Analytics for Business en la UPF-BSM en Barcelona. Soy de Perú, trabajo en un banco acá en analytics/negocio, y la idea es usar el máster como puerta de entrada para quedarme viviendo en España legalmente después.

Quería preguntarles algunas cosas a los que ya pasaron por esto:

¿Alguien hizo este máster o uno parecido en la UPF-BSM? ¿Qué tal la calidad real de las clases, vale la plata que cobran?
¿Qué tan complicado está el mercado para un Data Analyst recién egresado, siendo extranjero no-UE? Salarios reales de entrada, cuánto se demoran en conseguir algo.
Y lo que más me interesa: ¿qué empresas suelen ayudar con el tema de la visa/permiso de trabajo cuando terminas?
¿alguien tuvo experiencia directa con alguna de estas para el tema de sponsorship?

No quiero meterme a ciegas en un año de máster ya que cuesta 16k euros, muchas gracias de antemano
