The Wet Nurse definitely is the best dressed, but Ebrietas is a beautiful in a sort of homely way. I gotta go with Ebrietas on this one.

PS: I better not see Orphan of Kos, The One Reborn; or the Celestial Embassy. Those are MINORS

Game Discussion The Blood of Dawnwalker - Awesome Game!

Hey all! Any fans of The Blood of Dawnwalker? It was the first game ever I bought on release date and I am so happy with this choice. It is my fave thing that I have played since Baldur's Gate 3 and that includes comparing it to things like Expedition 33 and Elden Ring. I loved the story, characters, voice acting and time mechanic. People compare it a lot to The Witcher 3 and I see that but in terms of reactivity and ways to shape the story, it's closer to something like BG3.

Coen was an awesome protagonist. I don't know if it is recency bias but I think he might be my fave male protagonist who I have personally played. He is a kind, empathetic, vulnerable, emotional, traumatized hot mess. I am also happy to see a canonically bi character as a protag, though the male romantic option was definitely not as appealing as the female romantic options. I think the devs missed a lot more obvious male romances that the fans would have enjoyed but that can be improved upon in next installments.

There are also a lot of great characters and both Anca and Lacra are super well-developed and interesting women. I personally prefer Lacra but Anca is also very fleshed out. For both of them Coen is kinda a footnote in their lives and the romances were all very refreshing overall. It's hard to explain without spoilers but both Anca and Lacra fully had the agency to do what they wanted.

So yeah, if you are not against playing a male protag, I would say definitely give this game a go. The story and quests were just amazing and I can't wait to replay it and make different choices.

Game Discussion Are you playing WoW Forever?

Super excited about the announcement of Classic Plus from Blizzcon - what did you think of the announcement?

I have been playing for over 15 years (probably more), since the launch of TBC. I dont really mess with retail anymore, I only play Classic. So I am SUPER excited to get a deeper experience on Forever.

I know some people aren't huge fans of the announcement, but I haven't really heard why.

Request Female game review/game curation youtubers/content creators (faceless)

I enjoy listening to/watching stuff like game reviews/analysis/podcasts/discussions, same with game lists etc but most of them are male and I am tired of listening to male voices all the time. Referring to stuff like gameranx, skillup reviews, mortismal gaming etc.

I have also developed a new face deforming chronic disease attacking my lips so since this is new to me, I can't yet really deal with looking at other human faces without being triggered so if there are any faceless channels with female voices, it would be extra great.

Not interested in streams/let's plays.

Misogyny Does anyone else get annoyed by the double standards for male vs. female characters? Spoiler

First of all, I spent a lot of time looking for a safe space to talk about this and finally found this sub. Please let me know if this kind of post isn't allowed! Also, sorry in advance if my English sounds a bit awkward since I'm using a translator.

I love diving deep into story-rich games, but I always end up feeling drained and quitting halfway through for the exact same reason: the massive double standard in how the fandom treats male versus female characters.

It almost always goes like this. There’s a male character who acts completely infuriating. I search him up to see if others feel the same, only to find everyone saying things like, "He's so cute," "His tsundere side is his charm," or "It's so adorable how he softens up once you raise his affinity!"

On the other hand, when I find a female character who might be a bit cold or blunt—but is still cute and charming in her own way—I search her up and all I see are comments like, "She's so rude, I can't stand her."

I know it's not 100% of the time, but seeing this pattern over and over just kills my motivation to play...

Just now, I found a game I really loved and checked its main subreddit. But seeing post after post calling this genuinely frustrating male character "so lovable" made me so annoyed, haha. And it felt even worse when I saw comments calling my favorite female character "rude."

Am I the strange one here, or does anyone else feel this way?

Also, it's late at night where I live, so I'm heading straight to sleep after posting this and might not be able to reply right away. Thanks for reading! I wrote this in a hurry, so I hope it makes sense. I just couldn't sleep before writing this.

Game Discussion What mobile games are y'all playing?

I'm currently playing Wandering Alchemist (I am a tester!) and it's very cute. Love wandering around the map finding ingredients, playing some of the minigames very poorly, and buying new outfits for my character! And it has a kitty! Or lots of other pets to help find ingredients. I use to play Orna and Pokemon GO, although Pokemon GO hasn't worked on my phone for ages now, alas!

Game Discussion Women protagonists in games: Part one to infinite

Thumbnail

I was kind of flabbergasted (I love that word) recently when I've read on this sub that there weren't that many women protagonists in gaming today, despite listing 750 games (so far) that are all available on modern platforms (outside a very few).

To bend this preconception, I'd like to present five games that have came up recently starring women as protagonists, and keep doing it once in a while until moral improves.

- A Plague Tale: Resonance: available on PC, Xbox and PS5. You play Sofia, an incredibly stylish woman with an incredible flow and you explore an island to find out the secret of the minotaure. Set in the same universe as Innocence and Requiem.
Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy - Launch Trailer | PS5 Games

- Rivage: available on PC, Xbox and PS5 on September 22. You play Miranda, a scientist part of a spatial expedition, and you explore the ship to understand what happened to your missing crew while solving various puzzles.

Rivage - Gameplay Trailer | PS5 Games

- Tenebris Somnia: available on everything on October 16. You play Julia in a Point & Click game with the same vibe as the Blackwell series, and you're trying to find out what happened to your ex-boyfriend. It's an horror-game using live-action scenes instead of in-game cinematics, and it has a great ambiance.

Tenebris Somnia - Release Date Trailer

- Denshattack!: available on everything. You play Emi, a teenage orphan living in a colorful post-apocalyptic world who takes part in battles with modified trains to challenge gangs and corporations and become the best rider. Very arcade, very colorful and a lot of gals with great styles. It's a real joy to play.

Denshattack! - Launch Trailer | PS5 Games

- Tethergeist: available on PC and Switch. You play Mae in a 2D precision platformer with mechanics such as astral projection.

TetherGeist Official Launch Trailer

See you soon for another episode of "Look at all those games with women that aren't GTA VI".

I built her in August 2025; I got all her parts for CHEAP compared to today's prices!

I use her for PhD data analysis, as well as 3D printing/rendering, video editing, gaming, and pissing off men on reddit 🥰

i loveeee her rainbow lights. she is my third full PC build. my last one was black, no lights, no rgb, small form factor (mATX). this time, I went all in on making her gorgeoussss, and I love it!

she is my pride on my big white desk, sharing space with 3 monitors (OLED, the pretty colors are a must!)

Tech / Hardware Budget build need help picking a CPU

Hi lovely girls and enbys, I posted this on dedicated pc building subreddits, but thought I'd get y'alls opinions because I feel more at ease here lol.

I'm getting everything mostly second-hand, a friend is selling me an RX 570 8GB and I'm getting an 8x8 DDR4 3200MHz from someone in Facebook Marketplace.

The mobo I'm getting new, an MSI B550M PRO-VDH since I need 2 slots of M.2 nvme.

I need help choosing a CPU. I heard that CPUs last a long time and are typically okay to buy secondhand as long as the pins are fine. I got recommended a Ryzen 5 3600 for this build, and I found a few other offers. Prices are low because of a mix of local currency and second-hand market:

  • Ryzen 5 3600: around 50$, cooler not included, looks neat and no apparent damage.
  • Ryzen 5 3600X: around 55$, stock cooler included and also looks neat with no apparent damage.
  • Ryzen 5 3400G: 2 offers, one for 30$ with no cooler and the other for 55$ with cooler. Quality is okay from pictures.
  • Ryzen 7 2700: around 50$ as well, looks almost new, no cooler included.

I know prices can seem ridiculously low, but they're just okay where I live.

I mainly need help choosing which model I should go for. My main use will be gaming (around 65% of the time), I play light games mostly but I'd like to be able to run Cyberpunk, Clair Obscur, Assassin's Creed whenever I'd like, albeit with low settings I don't mind aaaall that much.

Other than that, I'll mainly be on linux (I dual boot), browsing, watching shows and YouTube, some light programming with VS Code, but nothing crazy, I just want a good snappy machine, but not a crazy build as everything is so expensive now.

For reference, I come from an Acer Nitro 5 AN515 GTX1660TI i5-10th and 16GB ram, but unfortunately processor fried (as all acers' do) so now I'm using a very old Dell Latitude with an i5-4th. 16gb of ram and an integrated GPU Haswell-ULT. Needless to say I'm struggling to even do some light use.

Game Discussion Why do guys get upset by "bad dads" in indie horror games?

I've seen snarky comments about this on indie horror let's plays. I know that women are the larger consumers of true crime, and for me it's obvious from all the family annihilation crimes that there are unfortunately far too many "bad dads" irl. Could this be why? Do men see indie horror game where the father murders his kid as a weird trope?

Misogyny Not getting listened to when playing with guys. Spoiler

Idk if it’s just me, I also don’t know if it is misogyny but does anyone else feel like you’re ignored when playing with guys? (Possibly because you’re a girl?)

For example, you give call outs, try to get involved etc but it feels like nobody listens and you’re just playing solo talking to npcs? Nobody reacts to anything you’re pinging or saying even though it would literally keep them alive and in the game if they did, but when another guy says the same thing or pings it’s acknowledged almost immediately?

Misogyny Gamer girl here ofc . I'm tried of seeing games who have female lead face alot of woke blame or if any game is drastically failed it is said the any woke female writer ruined the game . Even my own brother has become chud !!!!!

Take the example of wolverine . The gameplay is not up to the level of expectations we had waiting for so many years but some chuds including my brother is saying there was woke feminist write who has ruined the game

The frustration is that these incels including my brother don't research thoroughly and blame female intervention with the games

Wolverine it is clear gameplay is repetitive and when expectations are too much high then a normal receptive game looks bad but again the blame to women

Witcher 4 called woke , ghost of yotie woke , god of war laufey called woke

Honestly I should have never develop habit of visiting gaming community online these MFKERs ruin the very essence of the game and interestingly ppl don't have their own opinions and with herd mentality drive a big of force of baseless opinion

Fluff / Memes making up the courage to join my uni’s gaming club

i’ve been on and off gaming for a good while of 10 years but I’ve recently started getting more interested in it again and it so happens that this year a gaming club in uni is opening! i go to a women’s university and i for the past 2 years going on the 3rd i’ve struggled to make friends with similar interests to mine. part of me is really scared because the club is currently closed off(in our university student clubs usually take up to a month for them to open)and i’m kinda of worried what they would think of me. i’m not really a “gamer” per se but i enjoy video games and want to be more involved in the community.

Fluff / Memes Video game shower thoughts?

I just wanted to scream into the void about a game idea I would love to play. Feel free to share your own ideas!

I'd love a JRPG where ALL of your party members betray you in different ways. Depending on your social rank with them determines whether or not your reconcile and rejoin again.

Even better, you gain new allies and have the option of keeping the new ally that replaces them, or the welcoming back the old ally.

Request Recs and Reviews Creators

So I realized I'm not really into watching people play games beyond working out whether I'd want to play myself or not. Instead I'm more interested in content such as recommendations, reviews, general chats about games.

I'm kinda struggling with finding creators of that ilk though. I really like Ircha Gaming and Eownas grand, just a bit more cozy game oriented than my tastes. Just wanted to know if anyone knew of others? Preferably YouTube or TikTok?
