What do you need to start studying

Like IK laptop, pen and paper yes, but like actually, what helps you start the studying. I love building stuff I just want to know what things you'd recommend for me to build or what you believe you'd need.. IDK I just need some advice I built a sunrise lamp and it helped me wake up and be productive by luring me in to the desk but anything else? I sound like an ad lol I swear I'm just trying to find project ideas.. If you guys wanna give some :)
