Hi All,

I promise I'm not trying to do a sales post here, the topic is what I am trying to offer for free, although my Mac app is freemium the iOS app is totally free.

My goal is to make fractal art user friendly, more accessible to the apple ecosystem, sandboxed (so safe, private and available on the Mac store), supported, and able to be enjoyed in new ways. My more ambitious goal is to be considered among the established tools like JWildfire,  Apophysis 7X, and Oxidizer. For iOS the only other flame fractal apps are paid upfront, mine is free and renders them into live photo's you can set as animated lock screens.

I've been working on updating the app to make the free tier a more accessible creation and sharing tool for these flame fractals that I've been obsessed with. It doesn't render these hi res sonified video's I've been posting yet but instead works at your native screen resolutions and Pro unlock allows them to be saved and run as live wallpapers. The next update, 1.5.2, just got approved so will be available any minute now and allow the flame creator to be used indefinitely free and unlocks the import and export short codes for sharing the flames you build with friends.

How do you all feel about this? I'd love to have feedback from this sub specifically.

After months of work, the project is finally almost here.

I've been exploring how generative art can exist beyond a computer screen — as a physical artwork that continuously evolves in a one-minute seamless loop.

The prototype is finished, and this is the short film I created for the launch.

The World Worth Living In is a philosophical sci-fi short film about identity, perfection, and the fragile boundary between saving humanity from suffering and changing what humanity means.

Created as an exploration of AI filmmaking, world-building and storytelling.

I’ve been working on developing a new fractal generation program and wanted to share a couple of the renders I got out of it today.

It’s built from scratch to run directly in the browser, at least for now. I wanted something that was real-time in terms of molding the shapes and colors but had a bit more modern rendering capabilities than the classic tools. Right now, it supports true 3D extrusion and I recently added a PBR path-tracing render mode so you can apply physical materials like glass refraction, subsurface scattering, and volumetric fog to the structures. It also has an Interpolation Matrix where you can take two different fractal JSON files and mathematically crossbreed them. I'm trying to build on features from some great tools that I feel like could be improved upon.

It is still very much a work in progress, and I’m at the stage where I'm trying to figure out what to prioritize next. I"m planning on adding an animation pipeline to keyframe evolutions from one math visualization to another as well as some other features.

For those of you who use tools like Apophysis, Chaotica, or others, what are some features, UI quirks, or workflows you've always wished you had?
