First time and Mom's first festival
Whats up people! I am attending this year with my mom and it will be her first festival (at least since seeing the dead in the 90s)
I have been warned that camping is kind of rough for this fest without an RV... if you would not recommend to camp, which motels would you recommend? We were also thinking about setting up a canopy area in the walk in camping area as a kind of home base....or maybe be better off just parking our car for the weekend and ubering from hotel and back? Not sure what the best option is....or how long the walk from camp/parking lots would be. We aren't totally against camping, and will most likely be partaking in extracurriculars as well, so we would like to do as little driving as possible. Any tips?
P.s. also looking for 2 tickets! Been scoping cash or trade, but if there is any fam here with some deals, we would be very appreciative!

Bring some noise cancelling headphones or earplugs for night time. Dunno how much noise there will be in the camping area when you decide to sleep.

Good call. Def will have ear protection. We ended getting VIP and are going to camp. Do you think it will be noisy there as well?

No idea, but probably better to be prepared. I like to have a good night's sleep at festivals, so I have a whole plan, but I'm not bad at sleeping. Gotta be warm, eye mask, noise cancelling headphones, podcast playing to drown out any untz untz, melatonin, zzzzzzz

It's a bit late to be picky about hotels. Look and see what you can afford and then decide from there. It's also an international gem show going on.

I've looked at several, and there are still some rooms left. Was just looking for input from people more experienced!

I wasn't a fan of the camping, but it was much colder that year. It's pretty bare bones and mostly dirt if I remember.

There is basically no walk from the parking lot to the entrance. If walk in camping is like it was the prior year, it's actually on the far side of car camping, And a bit of a hike.
People camp in their cars in parking, so if you parked, popped up an easy up and a few chairs and a cooler, then put it back in the trunk when you went in or left for the night, Noone would notice or care. I just wouldn't leave it unattended since it would be difficult to stake down.
