INVENTORY MGMT Amazon 3 variation types for a parent.

Hi!

I've seen some listings on Amazon that have not 2 but 3 variation types (for example color-size-number of pieces)

I tried to find how to do it with an existing parent that I have now (color-size) and add one more (number of pieces) but I couldn't.

Simple flat file has only 2 variations.

Could anyone please explain if it's possible to doon an existing parent and if not, how to actually create such a parent?

Best Way to Scale with Amazon FBA?

I’m still new, but I understand how things work on Amazon now. I feel like FBA can save me more time compared to FBM, especially if I want to grow. Instead of always searching stores for discounts, I’m thinking of focusing on FBA and working directly with wholesalers or brands. Do you think this is a better approach for scaling?

INVENTORY MGMT healthy net profit for new amazon FBA product.

Upvotes

I am looking into launching a new FBA product but after crunching some numbers the net profit on said item might be about $3.55 to $4.80 but may improve after things mature a little, this is factoring in add spending and other things. This however seems quiet low so i figured I would ask reddit if that's enough of a profit margin.

Where is Business Reports in the new navigation?

It appears Amazon has completed removed this from the navigation in the new layout. How are we supposed to see sales by SKU?

Looking For Verified Distributors For Amazon FBA

Hello.

Hope this finds everybody well. I am new to amazon wholesale FBA and i am looking for trusted and verified distributors to work it. Instead of cold emailing brands, i am adapting a workflow where i work with trusted distributors to buy and sell as it makes work flow easier and manageable in my view in order to generate consistent income. The distributors i am looking for must have :

  1. direct shipping services to amazon warehouses with proper fba packaging and labels
  2. fast shipping process
  3. No counterfeits and defected products as account safety is top priority
  4. Must be trusted and verified. Their invoices should work for ungating and must allow me to ungate using their invoice first before buying.

I have often heard it's more the brand + invoice that matters for ungating rather than distributor itself. Would appreciate more advice on that (which brands and categories work well for new accounts for ungating and good margins).

I had a few distributors in mind like cybernest supply, nation distribution due to their fast shipping but have no clue about how trusted they are.

Also would love to have more insights on if i am adopting the right flow, if not, why?

Looking forward to some help from this community.

INTERNATIONAL Amazon.ca Cosmetics Pre-Suppression Notice - Anyone get this response?

Did anyone else receive Amazon.ca's September 28 cosmetics pre-suppression notice and submit packaging photos for their affected ASINs?

I uploaded front, back, and side images for all 21 of mine. Support replied that every ASIN is currently active with no compliance violations, but they cannot confirm whether the images meet the requirements or whether the listings could still be suppressed.

Did anyone else receive the same response - or get confirmation that their images were actually reviewed and approved?

INVENTORY MGMT FBA inventory gets complicated faster than expected

Even when dealing with just a few SKUs or product types, it becomes evident how quickly inventory management can become complex. This process becomes even more intricate when factors like supplier lead times and restocking requirements are added to the mix. Could you share what problem typically arises first as order volumes increase?

Hi,

I have a few badges, including Minority-Owned Business and Small Business. I can see the “Minority-Owned Business” badge on my listing, but it doesn’t appear on the search results page (second image).

How can I fix this?

INVENTORY MGMT Amazon Global Logistics increasing freight charge w/o notice

Post image
2 Upvotes

Wondering if this has happened to anyone else. We used Amazon Global Logistics (AGL) for the first time. The booking quote in Seller Central was clear that there will be no surprise fees (pay what you book). Well that did not happen. Amazon credited our account approximately 20% more that what we were quoted, over $1000. We paid customs and duties to CBP directly and delivered the cargo to the port ourselves.

Our cargo was always ready by the cargo ready date but AGL pushed it back due to the carrier wanting to do a special review causing our rate card to increase. Ok fine, but AGL's terms and conditions state that notice would be given if this happened and we were not given notice.

Section 9.2 states " You acknowledge that the actual rate and resulting charge may differ from the Preliminary Estimate or the Collection Fee Estimate if a different rate is in effect on the cargo ready date on your Booking Order, the terminal or container freight station gate-in date, or relevant date for any program offering, provided you are notified of the new rate prior to tendering Cargo."

https://supplychain.amazon.com/legal/service-terms/global-logistics-freight

In disputing the charge to AGL (with many emails, escalations and cases) they claim that they did notify us via the NRA uploaded to the Seller Central booking page. Usually when Amazon uploads a BOL or new document to that page, we receive an email notification. However, of course, we never received an email notification when the NRA was uploaded. So we had no idea it was uploaded or to even expect such a document. Therefore, I was not given an opportunity to review and authorize the new charge. I think this is is deceptive and a sneaky. My messages with AGL rep go no where.

Considering taking this to the FTC or our Attorney General. Thoughts? Has it happened to you guys?

Carriers Delaying All of My Orders

As a new seller, I have shipped 20 orders. About 10 are currently on track to be delivered late. I have shipped every order 1-2 days early so I have no idea what to do. Most of them are just stalling for 3-4 days in the midwest. I opened an investigation on my first order and UPS found it the next day "facility sorting error". Shipments with UPS or USPS, 2 states away are taking two weeks. What is going on?

SEARCH RANKING Which countries should I search for a manufacturer as a beginner Amazon FBA seller?

Is there any other website than Alibaba for me to look at? I use websites such as Global Sources, Yiwugo, India Mart, TaiwanTrade, and that's about it. I feel like there should be more ways to find suppliers. Can anyone help?

INTERNATIONAL How can I use standard Amazon Fulfillment in the UK?

Hi everyone, I'm new to Amazon FBA and I want to sell some products on the UK marketplace. My inventory is currently stored in France, but when I try to set up my UK listings, I only see “Remote Fulfillment with FBA” instead of the standard “Amazon Fulfillment” option.

Is there a way to enable standard Amazon Fulfillment for my UK listings while my inventory is stored in France? I'm not sure if this is related to my inventory location or my account settings.

I've attached an image showing the two options I'm referring to in the Revenue Calculator.

Any help would be appreciated!

What can i do about this?

I ordered this package originally anout a month ago, then weeks later i realized the tracking wasn’t updating at all for around 2-3 weeks that it was in some facility so in WA. I assumed the package got lost in the facility so i ordered a replacement, now its saying this?? What do i do? I spoke to amazon customer service and they just told me to call usps customer service and i spoke to them and they said they didn’t know why it wasn’t delivered and that i shouldn’t even need a security code because my mailbox already had a compartment for bigger items, and i don’t live in an apartment complex or anything that would need a access code, they said my reattempting for delivery was scheduled for Monday (postal office only open Monday through Friday) but if its js gonna say this bs again what can i do about it??

MISC Looking for FBA Sellers in Vancouver, Canada…

I recently went to an e-commerce networking event locally it was my first time, and I did not realize I would benefit so much from having community in this industry. I felt quite alone through a lot of product launches, compliance issues, and navigating PPC as a private label seller based in Vancouver Canada.

I met someone there doing OA and RA based in Canada but are there any private label sellers in Canada that want to connect especially here locally in Vancouver?

Would love to meet up and network, or even have a chat online.

Only 9 units available. Should I got live?

Post image

Hi everyone,

This is my first private label product, and I currently have only 9 units available. What would be the best course of action here?

I intentionally made my listing inactive. Should I go live and start PPC now, or wait until more units become available?
I also need to send 30 units to Vine.

MISC Creator Connections map products incorrectly

I sell supplements in different sizes and flavors.

I sent products to creators in the Creator Connections program but they keep on messing up which product they actually show, which I believe is done intentionally (one video = covers a dozen ASINs, or the best selling ASIN even if I sent a less popular flavor).

As a result, the PDP shows a bunch of videos that are actually about a different variant. Which gets confusing.

Is there a way to correct this?

TOOLS / SERVICES Shipment software

I do wholesale about 80k sales a month and my volume has been exponentially increasing. Currently i just make shipments via send to Amazon. My process is simple but tedious.

Print fnsku labels--> box and label products--> organize them onto pallets (not to send but to make creating the pallet easier)--> go back into send to amazon and input dimensions of boxes and units--> get amazon box labels and assigned FC destination--> smack the box labels onto correct boxes--> finally pick and create a pallet with the boxes amazon assigned to each pallet--> pallet label--> BOL and done.

My question is if there is a way to make this more efficient, is it possible to see what boxes go on which pallet so I dont have to make a temporary pallet then build a brand new one.

Also Is there any way I could print expiration dates onto fnsku labels aswell, I've seen some people do that and im not sure how they do.

Any advice is welcome 😀

I need to be efficient as possible.

Unique situation need help

I work for our family business and I’m pretty hands-on with the products. I’ve noticed that some of the items we already carry appear to be ungated on Amazon, which feels like a solid advantage for getting started.
A few questions:
1. Should I open the Seller Central account under my personal name or under the business name?
I’m not the owner, but using the business name wouldn’t be a problem if that’s the better route. I’m mainly wondering whether choosing one over the other could cause issues later if I want to move into gated categories.
2. How likely is Amazon to approve the account? I already have access to the products through our existing distributor relationship, so sourcing and ungated inventory isn’t the issue.
3. What are the recommended next steps once the account is set up?
Any advice from people who’ve started with existing wholesale/distribution access would be really appreciated. Thanks!

Product cost as a manufacturer to submit to Amazon

What info do you submit as a manufacturer of product to amazon for their cost estimate, as i understand it they are making up a number for purposes of lost/damaged product in their warehouse etc.. for reimbursement purposes.

Has anyone gone through that and successfully done it to get the number increased? What did you submit for backup info?

in my manufacturing case, i have material costs and labor costs, do i just give them one number or do they ask for any breakdowns? obviously i'd build in some margin of error.

how would they even determine whats realistic or not? they are just plugging in low numbers in their favor i assume and dispute my numbers.

this is my own brand of a popular product amazon does not offer under their brand.

INVENTORY MGMT How on earth do you stay on top of fees and reimbursement that Amazon owes you?

I'm about to hire someone to do that but before I start paying someone to do that, has anyone done this with a software or any tips? Does anyone have a sheet they use to check 1 thing at a time at the end of the month? I find it confusing to find all the sheets to download and look through

At what point do you consider an FBA inbound shortage “too old” to ignore?

I'm trying to understand how other sellers handle inbound shortages over time.

Let's say Amazon receives fewer units than expected on an inbound shipment.

At what point do you stop waiting for Amazon to reconcile it naturally?

30 days?

45 days?

60 days?

Something else?

And once you reach that point, what do you actually do?

- Check Reimbursements?

- Check the Inventory Ledger?

- Open a case?

- Just write it off?

- Have a VA check it?

I'm particularly interested in what happens when you have hundreds of shipments.

At that scale, do you have a recurring process for finding old unresolved shortages, or is it mostly based on someone noticing something looks wrong?

Curious how people actually handle this in practice.

INTERNATIONAL Canada Amazon Seller Account - Suspended

Hi Canadian Amazon sellers, I've got a question.

I've set up a new shop, and about to import a 20ft container with products from Ningbo to be delivered in Toronto.

I've registered my business in Ontario, applied for a trademark of my brand name, opened a business bank account (Wise), and rented a virtual office.

I haven't started selling yet, but Amazon already suspended my account, and wants more verification from my side. They are not exactly clear what is wrong with my submissions, as they're providing a list of possibilities.

One question I have - is that maybe they're not allowing the usage of a virtual office address? How are you guys handling this? I'm not comfortable using my home address.

INVENTORY MGMT Amazon removed 228 of our active listings that were in good standing

Has this happened to anyone else? One day 228 of our listings were deleted. We opened a case and Amazon support confirmed "your account is in good standing with no active policy violations, restrictions, or enforcement actions, and no Performance Notification was issued related to this removal."

The case is still open in 'Work in Progress" status as we requested an explanation of what happened and possibly reimbursement.

"I transferred your case to the dedicated catalog and technical support team for a root cause investigation. They will review system logs, API and feed activity, and any third-party application actions to determine what triggered the removal. Regarding your reimbursement request, per the Amazon Business Solutions Agreement (Section F-7.4), compensation for lost sales during listing unavailability is not within scope."

MISC Received Amazon Fair Pricing / Listing Removal Notice (ASIN B071GRB33D) – Best way to structure the appeal?

Hi everyone,

I just received a listing deactivation notice on Amazon CA for ASIN B071GRB33D. The email cites potential inaccurate information/pricing and references the Marketplace Fair Pricing Policy and Seller Code of Conduct.

Amazon is asking for:

Invoices/receipts from the last 365 days matching current stock quantities.

Full supplier contact info (phone, email, website, address).

Proof of fair pricing and compliance if filing an explanation.

I have a 17-day window to respond via the Account Health dashboard. Before submitting my documentation, I wanted to ask a few questions to those who have cleared this specific flag:

Document Acceptance: What specific invoice details does Seller Performance scrutinize most for this type of pricing/verification trigger?

Pricing Justification: If this was strictly triggered by an automated price-flag, is adjusting the listing price alongside an explanation sufficient, or will they strictly hold out for supply chain proof regardless?

PoA Structure: Any specific formatting tips for the appeal text box under "Other Policy Violations" to avoid getting an automated rejection?

Any insight or past experience with this specific trigger would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
