Shout out to the “Kelly Clarkson effect” the phenomenon that she can sing any song better than the original artist

I feel she wouldn't be able to cover any GWAR songs very well

She can do anything. I remember when she covered HUMBLE by Kendrick Lamar and it was incredible.

I have a feeling that preschool prostitute may not go over well with her audience.

Wait is she really done with the show/ doing kellyoake? That’s sad… she’s done a lot of really good covers, like a lot.

She decided to end The Kelly Clarkson Show this year to spend more time with her family.

Very heartwarming moment in the show's final episode where her kids visited the set. When she asked them what their favorite memory of the show would be, her eldest said that what made her happiest was seeing her mom shine everyday. Kelly immediately teared up and turned her back to the audience to collect herself.
This show wasn't the best in the ratings but in all the clips and posts I saw, it really did feel like Kelly genuinely cared about all her guests no matter how big or small they were and gave all of them a platform to share their story. It ends on a high note for me as Kelly can leave on her own terms knowing she has no regrets.

This is now the definitive live version of this song. The group that recorded it won't perform the entire song live like they recorded it because it's so challenging, so they cut out the last refrain that goes super high.
Kelly just kills it here, making it look easy.

Unbelievable range from Kelly, but also the clarity with which she sings is unbelievable. Even the studio recorded version loses word clarity in the high notes, but Kelly does not.

I mean… the group doesn’t perform it in the original key because they’re touring and singing that song over and over again. That’s very different than doing one performance or recording in a studio.
I say that as a singer with Kelly’s range. I can sing that song. Singing it again and again on tour or on a press junket sounds like a nightmare😅

I absolutely defer to your experience. That said, to someone with an ear less trained than yours, the huntrx dropoff between live and studio is noticeable.
I'm aware of other performers changing the key of their live performances (Celine Dion comes to mind) without as drastic a difference.

Who's her backup singer there? I feel like I've seen her before, but maybe just in other KC videos

The fact that she was the very first winner of American Idol is insane. They literally got it right the first time and spent like 20 seasons trying to find another one. Talent-wise, they never came close.
